What exactly do you think makes that screen move? It adds a miniscule amount of weight and there’s very little reason for it to break. Small electric motors are plenty reliable, and they’re everywhere. The power locks are probably just as likely to fail, yet no one complains about a car having power locks.

But padding is unnecessary. Who needs comfort?
