In the late 80's and through the 90's my dad had great luck with Nissan’s and then he moved onto Infiniti’s and boy did the cracks start to show up. The FX 35's were generally fine but then he got a sedan. I don’t even remember the model but at the time it was like $45k (Shocking that it doesn’t seem like a lot now)

Well the problem isn’t that the cars need a fix for a defect. It’s that they were cheap cars that lack additional security features to make them cheaper. So while horrible for owners you kinda get what you pay for. You’d have a better shot at suing Tik Tok for allowing the spread of how to steal them. Even then it’s

Dodge and Nissan dealers crestfallen that it didn’t happen to them.

Pray some poor idiot slams you hard enough to kill the battery pack and that your gap insurance covers your stupidity. Otherwise keep driving it or rent it out on Turo and let one of those idiots ruin it.

I could see about a year ago that things had started to cool as there were actual cars at the dealership that were for sale and even had a small discount on them. They were all sold before they hit the dealer a few years ago and I’m sure there were markups attached to some. It makes sense as the hype is always around

I mean isn’t one of the main issues with most of the recalls is they are just replacing them with a new one but not a new design so they all will eventually fail again in like 5 years?

Probably doesn’t corner as well but I doubt Shaq was tracking it. Like most people with these cars they just accelerate in a straight line on the highway and rev it up around town.

To bad they didn’t actually attempt to make a real truck. The reality is any electric is a hard sell to people that rely on their trucks and I think that’s an important distinction. This is basically a “stylized” SUV sold to people that buy them as mall crawlers. Except it’s even worse then an SUV as pointed out by

Knowing how much the dealer raked them over the coals I can almost guaranty they are double covered by both their insurance provider as well as a separate charge built into their loan. lol

Be a shame if the car got totaled after accidentally running off the road to avoid hitting a dear and rolled over... A damn shame...

What’s that? Trying to hold out for the base model? Well it no longer exists. So now you can buy one of these heaps that everyone is bailing on because they are poorly built!

To my understanding it’s not the port that bricks, it’s the connected module. So basically it would have to be done manually instead of automated which would put a human at risk. The bricking itself is if they try to update the software to enable the automation THAT potentially could brick the connected module and

I love a non black or grey interior option but quite frankly can we just get some exterior color options on cars that aren’t black, white, grey, or silver? Especially on the luxury end. It’s ok to like colors people.

It all goes back to him being forced to buy it for far more then it was worth because he’s an idiot. It wasn’t making enough revenue to cover the debt payments he had to take on to finance it before he started screwing it up. Now it’s just money down the drain at an accelerated velocity. I can’t see how this lawsuit

I know people have long loved them but the experiences I’ve had has been that they aren’t as great as people make them seem. The worst being my friend bought a new Tacoma and it’s frame rot in 2 years and they gave him another new one that in 2 years also had its frame rot out but this time they took 3-4 months to

As much as I like to point out that these things are poorly designed and poorly built the reason for this failure was from the earlier test where it drove across cement pipes and then the back came crashing down 6 feet onto solid concrete. With the weight of those tubs that probably destroyed the rear and cracked it

My dad owned a 2016 he bought used. He had a 2nd gen Volt and loved it but the lease was up and they cars value at the time was less then the lease so he decided to let that go and picked up one of these.

I wonder how much an effect ditching the Hemi V8 has had on RAM sales? The new engines are a big change and a decent portion of loyal customers may not like that enough to consider the alternatives.

It’s really sad. They certainly could have kept going on either of their shows had it not been for Clarkson’s foolish incidents.

Hard to say exactly but in general I will pay as much as it takes to get what I want without overpaying. I have paid $68k before. My current daily was a bit under $27K. I really enjoy my cars and if the car I want, configured how I want it, is $150k then I’ll buy it but I’m not paying any marketplace adjustments and
