If it’s any consolation, I plan on giving up watching the NFL but continuing fantasy football for the same exact reasons you are continuing on. I think it’s a fair compromise at this point. Or maybe I’m a hypocrite. I don’t need to watch the NFL to be good at fantasy. It actually probably makes me worse when I get

Well - that just cemented my permanent move from watching the NFL on Sundays to watching the EPL and other soccer events either locally or on TV. Give me an EPL game at 7am on Sunday morning any week. I know I’m done at 9am and can enjoy the rest of the day. And I won’t get irrationally angry when my running back

i feel bad for you and those who gave you a star. unless those who gave you a star wanted you out of the grays so we could all see how awful of a person you are.

ugh - i wish the Hawks never had to let him go.

i’m not your friend, buddy.

I would have totally watched an Eagles vs Jax Super Bowl! It would have meant no Patriots & if they would have beat the Eagles, we could have talked about if Blake Bortles is elite!!!!

I feel like I keep repeating this - but the only thing that keeps me even remotely interested are two things: Fantasy football and the Super Bowl.

While I don’t disagree with you, I still think it’s going to take a lot longer than 10-15 years. I think we may underestimate just how many parents out there that won’t care.

While I think the NFL will definitely be a thing of the past at some point, I just can’t fathom it being in the next 10-15 years. I’m thinking closer to 50 years. The amount of money the NFL brings in right now is insane and I just don’t see it being dead in 10-15 years. Eventually yes. In our lifetimes? Probably. But

I went and saw all the shorts too! My wife and I and my Aunt and Uncle all went and NONE of us even discussed Kobe’s as a serious contender. I’m pretty sure I told my wife that Kobe’s was the worst. It’s a shame - some of those shorts were excellent!

hey Des Moines is a solid spot. Low cost of living, middle of the country. Four seasons. Nice people. Three cheers for Des Moines!

I’m right there with both of you. And I know the culprit keeping me around. It’s 1000% fantasy football and me being in two leagues with both high school in college friends. It keeps us in touch 4 months out of the year (and some in the offseason) and we sometimes get together for live drafts which is great.

what is this doc about? i watched first couple of minutes - and am interested but i’m at work and don’t want to forget about it!

I did a rough estimate of the moment the ball touched Jokic’s hands (I assume when that’s when the 5 second count starts) to when he released it (I did it three separate times) and got 5.43 seconds, 5.25 seconds and 5.18 seconds. And when I first watched it without timing it, I would have guessed 6-7 seconds.

As someone who never played football (but did other sports) do you really think a 20 minute halftime really makes that much of a difference for recovery? If anything, guys who use halftime to “heal” maybe shouldn’t even be out there in the 2nd half.

so in essence, for being a total shitbag, she’s getting a “golden parachute” just like the shitbags in the business world?

i see people everywhere saying that they should burn it all down. but serious question...penn state football is already back to a top program again and appear to have already moved on from their awfulness. why is this going to be any different?

What do you mean when you say you haven’t read Sandgren’s output?

i think it’s funny you think that it’s “not risky at all” for these guys. there’s plenty of risk involved - especially for the fringe players.
