Totally agree. Great defense. Part of the "boring" part is that the film was so dialogue driven….that was radical to me at the time and, you're right, it was copied a lot. It also kind of lowers the re-watchability of it….and Jay and Silent Bob became kind of parodies of themselves which ruined the legacy a bit.

No. They are from Seattle in 1990. They toured with a lot of the bigger "grunge" bands. I'm pretty sure they opened for Pearl Jam on the Ten tour….
