Finally got around to working on my Mark ii. I don’t think I ever updated, but the JDM RWD “Camry” I bought back in March came in at the end of May. I found out shortly after winning the auction, that the car needed a clutch. (one of the risks of buying a car unseen from across the world)
I may have just broken my number one rule in the most spectacular way possible.
This morning, on the FP’s Morning Shift under Reverse, they noted that on this day in 1956, the last Packard was made, and linked to this article on the History Channel’s website. Only problem is, the last Packard was not made in 1956, but in 1958. The June 25, 1956 date marks the last Packards made in Detroit, MI at…
I went off-roading in the Shenandoah Valley last year with some friends. We decided to go again this year, but add a Top Gear-esque “challenge” element to it.
Over the last few weeks, an hour or 2 here and there, I tackled doing some DIY leather dying. I wanted to put some of the black leather trim from my 98 LS into my 97, and I wanted to create some cinnamon twist in the all black interior of the 98. The results are beautiful in my opinion and appear very OEM, which is…
Small changes that would make me want a Type-R
I converted my Trans Am from automatic to manual last month with the help of K-Roll. Swapped out a 700R4 that was missing two of the four gears for a Borg Warner Super T-10 that came out of a ‘79 Trans Am. Bought the full manual swap parts from that ‘79 parts car, everything from the manual specific radiator to clutch…
Worked at it til around 10 pm on Friday after work. Went and helped with Hemp on Saturday. Then spent most of Sunday buffing. Finally got it buffed out and cleaned up at around 8 pm Sunday night.
I’m in the third row back, 68th from the foreground. Only 16 years after I first set foot on a college campus, I dun gradutated.
Snagged a couple good friends and went to Richmond Raceway for an AutoX session. I’ve owned the car for over 2 years so I was past due to start learning the limits of the car in a controlled environment. One friend brought along his Lotus Exige; the other his 5th Gen Camaro SS. Special thanks to the Camaro friend who…
Right now I couldn’t care less what Doug or Hoovie (or anyone else) has to say about the E60 M5. It is a teenage dream come true. This thing makes my libido go coconuts. I will have a lot to write about in the coming weeks... but first a picture and a clip of the best M5 ever made.
Now that sounds amazing, who wouldn’t want a 90's mid engine 4wd japanese car, i mean lets be honest the 90s were a good time for cars.
I wasn’t expecting this, but Bandit and I were able to get my headlights installed AND FUNCTIONING tonight!! By that, I mean MY HEADLIGHTS GO UP AND DOWN AND UP AND DOWN!!! The panel gaps aren’t all lined up yet but I’m gonna take this win.
Received an email last night informing me I was accepted to grad school. That, along with getting hired for a full time STEM teaching position is making this a pretty good month.
With Tesla down nearly 40% on the quarter, Model 3 sales & deliveries slowing dramatically, & a slowing of the economy as a whole Tesla has to be looking to make moves. The only question is what play is up next?
