The dry rot on those Benz Michelins is making me nervous...
compared to their other bonkers cars, this thing is fantastic!
I asked the same thing, but there is no Carmax in Harrisburg, but there is one in Harrisonburg VA.
Do they mean Harrisburg, PA (as in the fuggin capitol?) or Harrisonburg, VA? Seems strange that they would list Harrisburg and Lancaster as they are within like 15 miles of each other.
Um, the cat failure didn’t cause valve train failure, it would ruin the rings. Ceramic dust and particles are no good for rings or cylinder walls.
IDK that I would tout the QR as a “feature”. I have had too many come in on a hook that sucked the cat in and ruined the engine.
They are clear plus blades that I stock at my shop. I’m tellin’ ya, I have run the stupid Bosch Icons and rainx blades, for an older ride like mine (with a windshield not designed for beam style blades), the work as good, if not better.
You got a click from me cause those patches are awesome.
NP cause I’m an idiot, but this would easily be the slowest car I have ever owned.
Can’t wait to see the price on that MGU when they inevitably fail...
I mean, I like it, but it looks really unfinished, which I’d imagine is what the Moskovitch looked like...
The 7M engine eats headgaskets faster than you change underwear. Aluminum head on an iron block, and they hadn’t quite figured out MLS at that point. With 7M, either the headgasket is blown, or it’s gonna blow.
I actually think the beige suits this car quite well.
I had a second gen Durango in the shop yesterday, what an unreliable piece of garbage. You are right, they are ugly as sin, but the Dakotas of that era weren’t much better.
If any of you guys have time (or are sitting in a car for a while), throw this podcast on. It gives a bit of an inside look at a dealer struggling to hit its quota at the end of a month, and the lengths they will go to hit it.
Fantastic cars. Engines are made of glass, so if you were to budget the 6500 for this ride, go ahead and budget it 3500 for a new mill, but for the most part (contrary to what many people below me have said) these aren’t too terrible to own, as long as you are careful with the throttle and maintenance.
Well, we finally know where Fiskar got his inspiration for the Karma’s front end.
I’m thinking that the engine bay makes me cringe. I am not a fan of the VG series engines...
Just to note, the MK3 had a facelift halfway through 1989. 89.5 to 92 cars are much better looking IMO. Betting interiors (those chromed heater controls are hideous), better tail lights, and a better front bumper.
