This post sent me off on a 3 hour google spree looking for a new ride for the missus. Her car is still great (and would make a great upgrade for me), but I didn’t realize how affordable first gen Vs got. Sure the interior is crap, but it still ticks most of my boxes for our next car. 4dr car, 3 pedals, rear drive,

I love me a notch, but this owner is on crack, and has been on crack since he was in his mother’s womb. That is INSANE money for a 100k mile fox. If it came with 10 kilobucks in the trunk, it would STILL be a CP, but it would be a lot closer.

The Mini, while fun to drive, is horrendously expensive to fix and can be tough to work on. I just did chains on an NA clubman. No timing marks, no keyways on cams or crank, no timing cover to speak of. It was quite an interesting (AND EXPENSIVE!) job.

If this was automatic, like just about every other one ever made, this would be a huge CP. With it having 3 pedals, I see this as a great car for a budding gear head to beat around in. IIRC parts aren’t that plentiful for that engine though :(

That looks like a freakin Hot Wheels. SO MUCH WANT.

I honestly would have considered a Dart SRT (shoulda saved the Demon name, dumbass), but as it stands, Chrysler/Dodge makes no car that I would want to own.

Flowers live in dirt sooooooo...

Ummmmmm

The 05S28 and 09S09 recall (among others for the same issue) is well known in the auto industry. I’d say this is an issue with whatever mechanic had been servicing her vehicle, but its possible she was servicing it herself. I check recalls on almost all of my customer vehicles, mostly to remind them that they STILL

I will likely be buried in the greys, but this is a fantastic podcast on the origin of the InCel movement. I was quite surprised to learn that it was mostly originated from a gay woman, and even she is disgusted with what it has become.

I believe that is the plural of Yaris.

FRC all the way!

As much as I hate the VG, this is a NP for the condition and rarity.

Bought my first MK3 for 800$ with a blown HG (go figure), same color and all. NP for nostalgia.

Knock 1-2k off and we are into NP territory. Just a bit too pricey.

Just got done with a timing chain job on a N16 Cooper Clubman. Can confirm, would rather walk.

WANT!

Pretty sure that has a TR-3650 transmission, NOT a T5. IIRC, the 3650 wasn’t very reliable, and is normally replaced with a TKO or a T56.

This is only true if the paid off car is not German, British, or American...

I have only ever worked on one, and everything was astronomically expensive. After 2 years of pouring money into it, the ECU gave up the ghost, quote on the part alone was close to 2500$ IIRC, he scrapped it.
