Don't think it's a big deal either way. Walt's a multi millionaire. He can get a gun if he needs one.

Your post also indicates you think Walt's actions weren't despicable. Pretty clearly a lot of people disagree with this.

So now we are supposed to believe that huell the security guy taking Jessie's pot stash would lead to the realization that Walt had huell take the ricin cigarette?

When was it shown or explained that Walt poisoned Brock via a juice box? I'm not questioning that Walt indeed poisoned Brock — I just don't remember when/how the show revealed the method.

Well, if right now you had a choice between administering a non-lethal dose of Lily of the Valley to a kid OR being murdered, what would you pick?

I could see it.

Walt poisons kids. What more is there to say?

Dude that's some dark shit.

Yes. We're supposed to make the leap. We're supposed to think that, upon realizing his weed had been "pickpocketed" by Huell, Jesse had a revelation about the same thing happening to the ricin cigarette.

That an actress had to defend herself and her character in a major newspaper is terrible.

No, problem not solved. Saul would have been a witness. And there was also the issue of disposing Jesse's body. Moreover, Walt knew at this point the DEA and the ABQ were investigating Jesse. Better for all concerned if Jesse disappears of his own accord.

We don't know Walt actually experiences fear. His actions may be partially driven by fear. But they're also consistent with a person who simply wants to get away with a crime.

I don't get why Walt's advice seems like bullshit or is entirely selfish.

Why would they leave a year old baby alone in the house? Makes no sense.

The ricin is behind an electrical outlet in the White residence.

He puts two and two together and realizes that, since Saul/Huell wouldn't have removed the ricin unless it was at Walt's insistence, Walt must be the one who poisoned Brock. In other words, his revelation about who really removed the ricin makes him realize Walt is a child poisoner.

C'mon, at this point it can't be any clearer: Walt is a TOTAL sociopath. I mean, he used his cancer to manipulate his own son into not spending time with his aunt and uncle. He made a videotape with monstrous lies threatening his brother in law with complete ruin. He poisons little children.

The house doesn't burn down. We saw this in the flash forward scene.

I'd argue it would be completely OUT of character for Walt to let Jesse live once he's convinced he's a serious threat.

Hmmm. Interesting. They wouldn't have introduced that lottery ticket if it wasn't going to have some relevance for the plot.
