It’s either a bad MAF or the dreaded biodegradable wiring harness.  One makes it worth it, the other completely totals it for me.  But for only 1k you can part that sucker out and make your money back easy.

So the world has one less HHR and MKZ?  I see this as a total win.

This question tears me right in half. Yes my new cars are safer, more reliable and more comfortable. What I wouldn’t give for a sub $20 oil change! I might have to take your advice and try it out on the old XJ this weekend. I have been averaging between 65 -100 bucks per oil change on my TDI’s since they require the new specific Mobil-1 dieselgate lubricants for the extended warranty. I have seen VW turn down way too…
