The sales of goods act in Britain says any item sold *must be fit for purpose*. My laptop wasn't. I fixed the issue after a long time trying to sort it out by 'other means'. I personally don't care if the other means were legal or not.

I bought a new laptop which came with Vista. It never worked properly - covered in spyware crap and crashed regularly. Software problems galore. As soon as Win 7 came out, I dl a copy, cracked it, and it has been perfect since. (Well - as close as can be anyway). Do I feel guilty? No. Microsoft owed me a working

@klick73: I use them for putting cups/drinks on. They make very pretty coasters.

@autob0n: Hey that might actually be a good idea... to read these summaries first, and then to watch the show. The Event is just *so* bad that it might actually work that way around?

@DrGonzho: I'd pay to see that in real life. Just as long as you could promise Cage would die.

@Platypus Man: I didn't watch it on purpose for ages because it was described to me as Cowboys in Space. They were wrong - it's well worth watching. Very very good.

But isn't the material negs are made from VERY prone to heat/burning?

@Rohan Kapoor: Just be careful. Sometimes the knock-off batteries are perfect, and sometimes they overheat/stop working althogether and possibly become dangerous.

@grapeon777: If you are from the UK, then manufacturers have got to keep producing spares for 10 years after the 'end' of the device. May be worth looking there for spares?

@theblazeuk: I always looked at the Ferenghi as an extreme capitalist culture. Sort-of an America in the far future...

@Sweetz: "I don't know, to me, looks like a bunch of people with white guilt forcibly applying a racial meaning to something that isn't there. I.e. pareidolia like I said. " i Couldn't agree more. This whole article is BS.

@garywalmsley56: Obviously we all like different things, but how you can give up on Dollhouse but keep watching those other two abortions of TV shows I can't imagine?

Zack Snyder + Superman (anything really) = no thanks.

@petar1: "The technique revealed that heat emitted from the main equipment compartment bounces off the back of the probes' antennae"

You could, of course, be absolutely correct. Let's just say that the web pages I frequent (on my iphone) have never needed me to have flash working. Now maybe if it was I would have had a better browsing experience? But I think it would probably just have more flashy-annoying adverts.

@RaindropBebop: Don't have it. Never missed it. Don't want it.

@macron1: I don't think so. I have a unlock code already set, but doing this I had to enter a code twice. I suppose it's so that you could allow a child to use your phone/ipod without giving them access to actually buying anything.

@CyberRanger: Maybe the chair is supposed to be a way for the ship to 'connect' with each and every bridge member. Once the link is established, they can psychically talk to/hear the ship and control it remotely?

@garywalmsley56: I also thought most of the first season was complete pants, and much much prefer what it has turned in to.
