Bummer your trip didn’t turn out so well. I just got back last week for a 3 week, 8k mile road trip in my new car: Dallas > Roswell NM > Sedona AZ > Phoenix AZ > San Diego CA > Los Angeles CA > Monterey CA > Fort Bragg CA > Junction City OR > Portland > Seattle > Bozeman MN > Craig CO > Gateway Co > Dallas.

    Was a trip

Lane splitting refers to moving traffic. The bike is splitting the space between two moving cars.

Lane filtering refers to stopped traffic. Bikes filter through available space around stopped cars.

As a driver and rider I can tell you the experience between car with no AC and motorcycle is vastly different.

In my car I can ride in shorts and a t-shirt with windows down. Even at a full stop I get a breeze and my engine heat is not directed right at my crotch. On my bike I have on heavy and hot gear over my

Look closer at the lettering. Those aren’t Firestones, those are “F**kstones”. Perhaps they started as Firestones, but the re-brand is a nice touch for a bike called “Diablo”

She may be aging (picked her up brand new July of 2009) but she’s still beautiful and fun to drive.

I love the look of this bike. Very tempted to pick one up and turn it into this. If they made one with a 60-80hp engine I’d likely have traded in my bike already.

Baby wipes - not just for cleaning up messes your 4 year old makes.

The heat is the only thing that’s true of the above, and only for 3 months out of the year. The rest of the year it’s quite moderate and mild.

The Texas Tomorrow Fund only includes tuition, no room and board. I’ll still have to cover that when the time comes.

The way the program works is you sign up within the first 6 months of when your baby is born, send in a copy of their birth certificate and proof of residency and then you can buy “credits” at a

Not true - if you’re on here we’re both in the brotherhood of car lovers, we’re practically family ;)

A few years of Chicago winters does make warmer weather very appealing. It’s still my favorite place to visit in the summer, but I wouldn’t want to move back.

And it’s true that some of the others can be found elsewhere, but in my experience no other place gives you as good an average across all the categories. Granted

I would counter this by saying likely those people have never spent any time here. As someone who’s lived at least 2 years in San Francisco, Chicago (twice), Phoenix, New Jersey and Dallas (twice) I can say without a doubt Dallas is the best of all of them for responsible adult living.

Those this take into account population growth? I could be wrong but I’d bet the population of Texas has grown at a much larger % than California since 2010. I can tell you just from traffic, when I moved to Frisco (6 miles north of the new Toyota office) in 2010 there was no traffic heading downtown for at least 10

Could not agree more. Better everyday drivability, emissions and milage (helping the top level 911s push even further) right out of the box. Was a smart choice for the brand.

We cross shopped with Acura MDX, Infinity FX and EX, Hyundai Santa Fe, Lexus RX, Nissan Pathfinder, Range Rover Evoke and maybe one or two more. We really got it because my wife had her heart set on it (based on looks and brand image) and nothing else would do. If it had been my choice we would have bought a used CTS

You gotta be willing to hunt and wait. Wife and I knew what she wanted (Cadillac SRX, white with brown/maroon interior). It retailed for $53K. I spent 3 months looking online daily for the right one and found one that was less than 6 months old with only 4K miles for $37K. Went to the dealer the day it was listed,

I’d buy cars one at a time. Stuff like a beat up Nissan 240, Supra, NSX, M3 etc (basically everything from the 90s and early 2000s I love) and spend a year rebuilding, molding body kits, modifying each one to my liking to slowly build up my fleet of cars that are perfect for me. Got to have something to kill the time

This is why the Atom should be top of the list. Plus it would be incredibly fun for 6 -7 months of the year.

You do it by being patient, starting small and getting the right cars.
