180 miles isn’t enough. With current battery tech, that’s about 130+/- miles of usable driving range. And Im not stopping every two hours to charge for 15 minutes. That's not how you road trip. Unless you drink coffee all day, and have a tiny bladder. This isn't hard to figure out.

Why pay cash, when you can pay even more through credit!!! Sounds reasonable...

It will likely be well over $10k considering the fuel and maintenance savings alone within 5 years. My wife and I calculate at least $3,000 a year saved selling our ICE vehicles for a Lightning and Model Y. We use that money to take vacations now.

There are plenty of heavy ICE trucks out there are well. Take a guess at the weight for the most common HD trucks flying down the highways. They are comparable.

Unless they reach gross profit status this quarter as they are hoping for. Im’ keeping my fingers crossed for them. I’d own one myself if the headlights didn’t look so terribly odd.

Thats because people like you prefer YouTube installation guides, full of commercials, over action movies and comedy specials.

Stop projecting your inbred manufactured hatred towards others. You sound as pathetic as this article.

They “lose” money on each vehicle right now. Because of the huge investments they are making (new plants, engineering, r&d, machinery) to build quality vehicles. It’s not because the vehicles themselves are incredibly expensive to make. Some are pricey at the start as they figure out more cost effective methods and

Its clear Collin, the author of this article is beyond butt hurt over Elon’s politics. And should be fired over the senseless dribble added to another Cybertruck issues article. Sure the vehicle breaks the “truck” model and going to experience issues. But I don’t want to read articles this unprofessional.

EV buyers are upset that their car buying experience sucks with dealers. I knew way more about the vehicle I bought than the sales staff did. Unless they are too lazy to learn how to take care of them. I see that at times. These are the same people who don’t care to do regular maintenance on their gas vehicles. Which

Government is rarely ever up to the tasks of addressing disasters fast enough. Especially of this scale. If they were you would have very little money in your back pocket. The more self reliant you can be the better off you are. When seconds count (in this case weeks and months), government will almost always be

Ive litterally driven all over the country in my ev truck, towing thousands of miles, camping, road trips. Being an EV instead of ICE has had more advantages than disadvantages.

Except, when it comes to oil changes, air filter changes, transmission flush, accessory belt, spark plugs, antifreeze flushes, etc etc, etc. Simple daily habits that’s as easy as talking your vitamins and storing your coffee in the morning is much preferred over several dozen items that happen once in a while or

They have a 46% market share! So they don’t outsell all other manufacturers combined any longer. And that market share is shrinking quickly. If they don’t get to work to keep their products fresh and affordable, they will end up with about 5-8% of the market in the US about 4-5 years. GM, Hyundia and Kia are flooding

It’s practically impossible to get to zero incidents when you have pedestrians sharing space with vehicles. But the amount of accidents will improve as we adjust to this new form of transportation.

Apparently they do miss all that extra tax revenue from the large amounts of people that have left.

No. The economy wouldn't go into recession/depression so easily. And America wouldn't be trillions in debt. This country isn't rich. It's living on credit that will collapse at some point.

Do not store your ev for long periods below 30%. Especially if it’s not connected to a charger while sitting for a long time (phantom drain). Most credible sources (not jalopnik) recommend keeping it as close to 50% as possible. That’s the happiest place for an EV battery. Only fast charge on long trips.

Evidence shows that at least with modern Tesla vehicles don't have battery degredation issues if supercharged most of the time. I was surprised to see this too. But slow charging most of the time is still good practice for most drivers.

Sounds like Elon is giving "The General” a run for their money.
