This tip works for many reheated things. Rice, chicken, potatoes (use milk if mashed). Fridges and microwaves tend to dry things out. Adding a little water introduces steam and adds a little life back in.

I do this with baked because it takes way too long to fully bake a potato in the oven.Get them mostly cooked in the microwave, then 10 mins in the oven to get that wonderfully crisp skin.

I would not instruct my pitcher to hit him in the back, but I would instruct him to just throw it to the first baseman. If the runner is where he is supposed to be, he will not get hit.
