Too pricey in my opinion. It’s chicken fingers in hot-sauce, shouldn’t be more than $6

It’s been too long since for me to remember Slice, but I know I didn’t hate it. I tried Starry and I thought it was good. I would say it leans more on the lime side of lemon-lime, so I liked that (probably make it good with Vodka).
A lot of it is probably re-sellers though. I just bought a used car a month ago, and it took 3 months to weed through all the crap to find something decent. It’s amazing how many cars are on FB Marketplace with rebuilt titles. A lot of listings I found were guys acting as private sellers that either also worked at…
I know I annoy mine, because I want everything very thin, which takes longer and is harder to do. However, I always ask very nicely, sometimes apologize, and always thank them very much and wish them a good day.
Never had Chi-Chi’s, I think it was on it’s way out by the time I started dining out on my own (my parents rarely ate out). Chevy’s was so gross and I’ll never miss it. Pepe’s can be good depending on location, and their faire is closer to the traditional M&Ps all over the Chicago area. So much good Mexican food…
Bennigan’s was a major hang out for me and my mid-90's Gen X’er high school entering college friends. Decent chain food with enough variety for all. Never had the Monte Cristo, not my vibe, but the cream of potato soup was usually good and they had a great crispy buffalo chicken salad. Burgers and other sandwiches…
I think Olive Garden suffers from location variability like a lot of chains. I have a few locations that I visit semi-regularly, and they all produce passable casual chain dining quality, you know good but not great. I did venture to a different location when I was away from home last year and it was terrible.
I got really good at bread making and did my own pizza crust for pizza and calzones.
I love self check-out and don’t understand all the gripe. As long as you have a few checkers to handle big orders. Also, don’t have a scale on the bag area. Screaming at me to put my item in a bag or unexpected item in bag area is frustrating and annoying. Especially because the employee just walks over and clears it…
Okay, so since the article doesn’t tell me and I’m not willing to google it right now, what is the proper way to hook your house to a generator in case of a power outage?
The right flavor hard seltzer can be refreshing on a hot day, but I prefer a crisp lager, though I have found myself switching to seltzers if I feel full like at the end of bbq. They seem to go down lighter than even a light beer. Really though they’re for the middle-aged Moms to get drunk on. A lot don’t like beer…
Zero is drinkable with only a hint of a diet aftertaste. Diet Coke is all aftertaste, and is only drinkable with a lime (a real one, not fake DC lime). I don’t get the people that drink gallons of that dreck a week. They must be addicted to the fake sweetener.
While I usually use that comparison to those who’ve never had it, when properly prepared and seasoned, the flavor profile is different. A Chicago beef is more spicy and the gravy is less sweet than a traditional au jus. The bread is usually different as well.
Agreed on the results, but I hate the mess and the smell.
The McCain Crispy straight cut are really good.
Its a tough trade off. They make everything fresh when you order it, but that takes time. And if they have any traffic at all, you’re looking at 15+ minutes to get your order. If you’ve got the time, its worth, but if not I get it.
The dish never looked or sounded appetizing to me to ever try. However, Fred’s description is more enticing.
I know they’re technically separate badges, and so they’re sales are listed as such. However, the Silverado and it’s GMC fraternal twin together out sell the F150. So Ford’s claim to crown IMO comes with a big asterisk.
They’re propped up by people who like to overpay for bad coffee loaded with milk and sugar. Ever drink dunkin black, tastes like brown dishwater. Go ahead, come at me Boston. Dunkin sucks. Their donuts have sucked for years too. Thank God for all the good doughnut shops that have come around the last few years.
They seem to survive by being the only chain in random small towns. Used to have one near me. Was fine for having a cheap beer and an app, but actual meals were terrible.
