The survey is based on customers reporting problems with the cars. So you can finish quite well despite building crap if your customers expect crap. The higher expectation and complexity is what pushes the more expensive manufacturers like the germans and JLR down the order. There is a reason why Porsche put wastegate

According to survey, it’s owners of Teslas that hate Tesla

To be fair to dodge how many problems can their 2 cars have after 13+ years in production?  I figure those should be worked out by now

GM Australia spent their last 15 years of existence out-America-ing the home team, so you can’t be too surprised that Ford looked to upside down land as well.

I tend to care when I’m buying something. TV, computer, car, dishwasher, bell peppers, office chair, etc.

Because of the Outback, or what?  Jesus.

A Hellcat Road King would be like the most Boomer object in existence.

As a motorcyclist, this always confused the shit out of me. With all the “cool outlaw” image that motorcycling is supposed to convey - it seems overrun with a lot of people who blindly worship police. I’d love to think racism didn’t play a huge part, but I have a feeling I’d be wrong.

Your point is excellent, but BMW riders have their own kind of cosplay: Green hi-viz vests, spacesuit riding gear, and full-face helmets.

Judgement

Read car salesman takes advantage of elderly person- now if they offered it for this price then no, but if they were looking for ‘offers’ and he swept in showed them a blue book value and paid it he deserves to be sentenced to a long period of searching for 10mm sockets in a field of poison ivy

I love when my GPS tells me to go up a fire road. That’s a built-in excuse to go four wheeling. The stock GPS in my Toyota is dumb and has no idea what roads are for normal people.

Here’s what you need to do: Stop bitching about the lack of a manual on the Supra online.

Well, we don’t do oxymorons, and we also don’t do automatics, unless we’ve suddenly become too lazy or handicapped to do so. I’ve been driving a manual for 15 years now in the worst traffic jams, weather, cities, cars etc. I’ve only ever bought 2 “automatic” vehicles of the 15+ cars I’ve owned so far, and one of them

LOL why do you people talk passive-aggressively about him like a fucking ex?

2019(35k Model 3 release)-2017(Model 3 release) = 2024-2020

C/R really needs to split this category into functional reliability and convenience reliability. There is a huge different between your car not starting in the morning and your infotainment interface crashing and requiring you to turn the car off and back on again to fix.

I also think the point that most people miss is most people don’t get rid of their cars because the engine wore out. It’s usually because they don’t want to pay for a timing belt, tune up, suspension work, or something else expensive so they trade it in or sell it. The people that change oil every 3k miles will do all

You can do whatever you want, and it certainly doesn’t hurt, but to say that the 3k interval is specifically why your cars’ last that long isn’t really borne out by actual experts and evidence.
