Came to say the same thing...is fuel economy REALLY the issue in the tall hatch segment?

What’s the average MPG loss from a small sedan to a crossover? I get not liking them, but complaining about their MPG’s seems like a weird angle. Surely it’s the Explorers of the world that people will regret when gas prices go back up.

This is really one of those things that defies your attempts to come up with a quick take. You just wish he’d seen another way out of what he was dealing with and feel terrible for the people he left behind.

Toyota knows how to generate some excitement in racing when it wants to. Too bad it doesn’t trickle down to their cars. How about a Yaris TRD Toyota? a little Turbo 1.6 with 180-200 hp 6 speed would be a lot of fun and get those young people into the show rooms you’ve been after.
