It definitely can, both for Series X/S and PS5. I regular play Warzone running at 1080p/120fps (though it’s not true optimization, just unlocked framerate on Xbox) but other titles in the FPS boost list that support it also cap out at 120fps on my display. Black Ops: Cold War also hits upwards of 100-120fps on both

Indeed, the total currently is at 11. It’s also unfortunate that the PS5 still can’t natively output 1440p, I hope they patch that in soon.

I debated getting a HDMI 2.1 equipped monitor when they release, but I think a 1440p display that can support 120hz over HDMI will be fine. Even with the new consoles I think

I really loved the opening and closing scenes that bookended the film, establishing the Scorpion and Sub-Zero conflict. The stuff in the middle was a little light, but then again it’s not like the stories in the games are anything spectacular.....it’s always a vehicle to drive you to the fights. Kano was a pretty big

I’m a chicken so I really have a hard time with RE7 and likely won’t play 8, but I love watching them be played. The first person really does me in.

4 was probably the first one I played through, and then 5 and 6 with coop. I also really enjoyed RE Revelations 2, I personally liked the mechanic of the second player

Damnit.  I forgot about Pokemon Snap.   Better dust off the old credit card and add it to the list.   lol.

My friend and I started re-playing Resident Evil 5, so we will probably finish that.  Trying to do a Veteran and Professional run to clean up what we didn’t finish in the Xbox One re-release.  As much as people knock the action oriented RE games, I love them for their co-op gameplay.   I might give that Second

Well, first off, the Microsoft Store is built into Windows 10 so it’s always been an option as a store front for gamers. Giving a larger cut to developers doesn’t change that for the consumer.

When you buy/download a game in the Microsoft Store you can launch it from your Start Menu, or really anywhere you want in

I guess, but even if it is an attention grab it’s one that positively impacts developers putting games on the Windows store.  As pressures mount it’s possible there could be a shift on the console side as well.

These are billion/trillion dollar companies so I get that it’s easy to look at the scenario in a negative

Yeah I just noticed this myself. Apparently I jumped the gun on my excitement lol.

Even still, I hope overall it helps introduce some changes industry wide. These are baby steps for companies that could certainly afford to do more with developers. I guess we will have to wait and see.

I’ve always been primarily team Xbox, even during the rocky Xbox One years. Don’t get me wrong, I love Sony’s first party lineup, but Microsoft’s change in stance on some practices and the way they have introduced new service models and ideas to the industry seem to be much needed. I hope Sony and Nintendo follow suit

I felt a lot of anxiety surrounding backlog until a couple years ago. To be honest, it hasn’t completely left. I read a blog (I wish I could find it) that talked about making a list of absolutes in your backlog and try to churn through them.

I whittled things down to a list under 200 and set a goal to play and finish

I have a few lined up. Warzone with my friends across the country, but that’s an almost nightly ritual now. I downloaded a few games on Game Pass this week and now I’m hooked on West of Dead. I love Ron Perlman’s narration, I wish I had of grabbed it sooner....favorite thing about Game Pass is picking up titles I may

I used to stress about my backlog a fair bit until I read an article that talked about breaking your games into a list to try and cross them off. I try and keep the list under 200 games and I set a goal to play through 24 per year. The metric of the goal is hard. I’m not a completionist, so I aim to finish the central

Sadly the version of Control on Game Pass is the Standard Edition, not the Ultimate Edition. Plays great on the new Xbox with backwards compatibility, but otherwise it doesn’t get any true next gen upgrade.

The new enhanced edition is on sale via Deals with Gold this week though for 30% off, depending on your market.

The Game Boy was my introduction to video games, and I remember getting Super Mario Land as an early Christmas present because I was so sick. The music reminds me of how much trouble I had finishing it, and then realizing there was a whole second play through you could do.   Not sure I ever succeeded at the second go

By the end of March last year I was cycling to work regularly. Now, approaching mid April, it’s snowing again today. I work in an essential service and my work requires me to be on-site (sometimes) so I am itching to get out the new bike I purchased earlier this year to continue my weight loss goals (and shave away

I started playing the Witcher 2. I tried it a few years ago and couldn’t quite find my groove to play it. Then after watching the show I decided I wanted to give it another go - so far loving it this time around. Not what what clicked for me all of a sudden.

I’d love to play the first one but it’s not on consoles and

I’d kill for an Ogre Battle 64 re-make.   Or sequel.

I’m all in on xCloud, but I’m a bit biased. I’m full in on the Microsoft ecosystem, I own three Xbox One systems in three different locations, one 8TB stand alone hard drive full of games and a 4TB portable I carry with me. I live in a city where fibre optic internet is readily available. I am the target consumer for
