The real issue is someone smart came up with that handy design, and then the information didn’t get disseminated.

4x4 typically requires driver input to put the vehicle in which mode is required based on the elements, terrain and load. 4x4 = driver input.

It is disappointing to run into something this wonderful so late in life, but all I can say is I’ll make up for it by making many baked potatoes a la Claire.

As a former avionics technician in the Air Force, I’d like to think I would have a better than average chance at...knowing how to operate the radio and follow ATC’s instructions. But I still would be woefully unprepared to straight up land a plane and can confirm most people wouldn’t know where to begin.

There’s a reason why we have autopilot in charge of pretty much everything except for takeoff and landing. Planes want to stay in the air, which is great in the middle of a flight, even with technical problems, but when you want to force a divorce between the plane and the air, you’re going to run into problems.
