I mean, by all accounts, a vegetarian lifestyle is healthier, more environmentally sound, and (depending on your personal ethos) less cruel. For me personally, the main reason I don’t move more in that direction is that animals are full of delicious, tasty meat, and I just can’t get that anywhere else. But if someone

The audience scores are there to make RT visitors feel like their opinions matter. That’s it. It’s there to drive traffic. No one actually pays attention to it, including RT themselves; that’s why only the critic score shows up on the box office list on the front page.

A Shane Black movie where Riggs & Murtaugh have flying robot suits and are played by Robert Downey Jr. and Don Cheadle? What kind of asshole wouldn’t be excited about that?

I cannot imagine anyone who hears about a new MCU movie and thinks, “Well, I’d better check those Rotten Tomato scores before I buy a ticket.”

Plus Roma had a fairly solid theatrical run and got an international release! (Which isn’t always the case with some Oscar films.)

Here in Australia we have theatre’s that are doing screenings of Roma this week cause of the Oscars, so I honestly feel Netflix did a reasonable job of giving people the oppurtunity to see

Exactly. Very few academy voters go to the in-theater screenings offered to critics. I’m friends with a voter for one of the other awards shows, and we watch a ton of screener “For your Consideration” DVDs together. I probably see 90% of the Oscar nominees on any given year, but the overwhelming majority I see on a TV

The irony is that the Academy sends out DVDs for judges to vote on, so unless he wants to start renting out theaters for judges to screen films, the nominees all got “viewed” on the same TV sets that Roma did.

I mean I hate the Netflix/Amazon takeover of all our media as much as the next guy (the next guy being Spielberg). I hate many of the changes it's made in how I personally take in media, not to mention those who are even more passive consumers of film/tv than myself. I hate that fewer people go to theatres now. I hate

These “SUV” lineups are not the same as the ‘90s and ‘00s. Most of the crossovers out there are only marginally less efficient than the equivalent sedan/hatchback/wagon. I doubt even $5 gas will create the kind of mpg panic we saw then. And if it does, I wouldn’t be surprised to see the innumerate dumping gas cars for

Too safe? I’m confounded how anyone could think today’s design is aesthetically safe... look at everything by any of the big 3 Japanese marques.

Lemme guess, you think it needs MOAR SPOILERS

Mazda’s decision to kill character lines and creases and take design to the next level is one of the best things that’s happened for cars in 2019.

Plenty of vehicles on the road with worse blind spots and rearward visibility. They don’t look as cool, though.

Jesus you’re insufferable. I came from a single parent lower middle class household. I put myself through college by joining the military and going to war in 2003. I chose a degree that wasn’t necessarily what I wanted to do, but had great prospects. I was making 6 figures 13 months after graduation and have

This is such a bullshit take I don’t even know where to start. Just because you’re rich doesn’t automatically mean you’re bad or made your money the wrong way. I get that the cheetolini presidency is making our politics even dumber but jackknifing into some sort of collectivism that doesn’t reward hard work is the

I have never been a Michael fan and was so disappointed to see him again.  It can’t be him, right?  That would be so cruel to Jane.

Black dude here. I think one of the reasons we say “white person doesn’t get it” it is because unless you have immersed yourself in the culture, the people, and traditions it really is hard to get it. In America white culture is presented as the norm (TV, movies, magazines, politics for the most part) so different

“In my mind, yeah. Because Tilda Swinton, who had no relationship with all before this, tapped her as the One Asian Friend and went from “hey, can we talk about this” to “oh wise Asian, please enlighten me as to how we can make the entire world a better place?”

I’m Latino and gay... and couldn’t disagree more with your comment.
