@miquonranger03: That's not HD-capable, right? Why not buy a series3 or HD with dual cablecard and HD?

The 'Watch Instantly' selection is still quite limited, but growing by the day. For example: of the 200 movies in my queue, just 20 are currently available to 'Watch Instantly'. But, in general, I approve of the direction that TiVo is going, adding YouTube, Rhapsody, and Netflix integration.

@blackmage439: Does your firewall have the notion of 'trusted zones'? Your local subnet, or all machines on it, should be trusted. Ordinarily this would happen automatically.

Wow, the designer must really hate angles and curves or just love grid paper. Everything's a straight line, vertical or horizontal.

Wow, Norton. I used to really like them, back in the pre-Windows, Norton Utilities days. Then someone installed some Symantec av/security software on my PC and I completely lost all faith in them.

Eraser is easy to use but it's the slowest thing known to mankind.

Naiveté abounds. Not on the part of the DBS purchaser, but on the part of some of the posters here. This is not a "car purchase".

Look, if you drive a Ferrari F1 car for a living then by all means wear a Ferrari cap but other than that please do us all a big favor.

Jeez, what's next!? A "teenager key" that limits top speed and stereo volume?

@chaos0815: The Recycle Bin icon's there primarily so that you can easily restore files, not so that you can drop files on it to delete them.

I think there's an option to delete the rear seats and turn it into a luggage area. That's what I'd opt for.

The previous grill was ridiculous; this one should be outlawed.

Hurrah! They've fixed the Hotmail preview issue. But doubtless it will break again in a few weeks when Microsoft changes Hotmail so as to deliberately defeat these HTML-scraping clients.

Just this morning I was reading a story in Evo about Loris Bicocchi, chassis dynamics guru on the Zonda, CCX, Veyron and others. Apparently he was testing the Veyron at Nardo and was running at 241mph when the front left tire exploded. This resulted in the fender and hood being ripped loose and folding over the…

Wow, this is breakthrough stuff. It's not even remotely identical to the front-end of every other new millenium Porsche. OK, so I lied.

"Insure" your data? Does it pay you if the backed-up data can't be restored?

White is suddenly de rigeur for sports cars. Witness the LP560-4, 997 GT2, e93 M3. Never thought I'd like white but they all look fab.

Allegedly, it's about $600-. Personally I like the hand-cranked P9110 radio.

I read somewhere that these things a little particular about what kind of surface they'll work on. And presumably the moment it falls off your 9ft+ ceiling and comes crashing to the ground, it's going to result in a lot of tears for little Timmy.

I really, really hope the final car doesn't look anything like that. Do these Porsche designers not have a single innovative idea or are they required by mgmt to take a picture of an existing Porsche vehicle and use nothing more than their Photoshop stretch/resize tool.
