@Tanshanomi: Seriously! Everyone knows that the best way to maintain viability is to build a ton of high margin vehicles and convince people that that's what they actually want, not some sensible birkenwagon.

At first I thought I'd rather just have the 4Runner than the Lexus. But then I thought I'd rather have a Pathfinder than a 4Runner. But then I like the Xterra better than the Pathfinder. But isn't the Xterra a Japanese Wrangler wannabe? Conclusion: just get a Wrangler.

@Tanshanomi: I think the sound deadening is for road noise and then they pipe in some engine noise for the enthusiast models only, because who wants to hear a VW I-5 or a Mustang V-6?

@elev: GTIs and Mustangs have tubes to let engine noise in the cabin also

Considering how often people use turn signals, I don't think drivers will use this either.
