This is easily the best looking new mid-size sedan, not that the bar has been set very high.

Oww my eyes! Someone take that guy's photochop away!
It's a bit silly to call this a Mustang killer. Even if it's cheaper and better than a Mustang in every measurable way, followers of the Mustang cult still won't give it a second thought. It's like Pepsi and Coke. Pepsi could cure cancer and Coca-Cola drinkers would still regard it as the spawn of the devil.
aren't these concepts like 10 years old by now?
I think we can expect the Tiguan to compete with the CR-V about as well as the Jetta competes with the Civic. I don't think VW buyers would really want a Honda anyway. I know I don't. I didn't even drive the Civic Si before buying my GTI because the interior is hideous and my head touched the roof.
Average American consumers eat this cheesy stuff up like Big Macs and supersized freedom fries. That's why the Mustang has never gone on hiatus unlike the better performing "more serious" muscle cars.
@anaxomander: You can also find longitudinal FWD/AWD setups in some A4s, Passats, and likely numerous other VAG products. Hehe... VAG!
This thing is bizarre, impractical, and stupid fast. It looks like a strange amalgam of the Lamborghini Reventon and the Volvo 3CC concept. The build quality will probably be terrible and when in inevitably breaks replacement parts will probably have to be custom made. They should have put a periscope on the roof…
Good point. I doubt Lexus chartered a plane just for one car. Using the same logic I wonder what the carbon footprint would work out to if it was the sole cargo of a container ship.
A supercar and a matching commuter car? I'll take both please. I love my GTI but it's a little dull looking. The neo-500 from Fiat is cool also but i think the Mi.To trumps it lookswise.
Not exactly a crane (it's a drag-line for mining coal) but it is mobile. I climbed to the highest point on it (160 feet up) and got a nice view of Kansas for miles around. I could probably see Oklahoma and Missouri come to think of it.
I don't understand why this would be better than a mechanically simpler twocab set up, but then I don't know much about cranes
Sort of off topic, but I love Slovenia... so pretty, such nice people
This aired 5 days before I was born? What a great era to be born into.
"...one of the best driving vehicles made by BMW, easily eclipsing sports SUV competitors like the Porsche Cayenne and Range Rover Sport." Does it drive better than a 135i or an M3? No? I'll pass.
@KingRoyale: Since it's a Ram shouldn't that be "Mmmmmmmmmmm muttony"?
Oooh I get big wheels and a body color grill for only how much mark up? I'll take two! I mean two dozen!
@DannyBN: No.
