Couldn't they have put the engine behind the driver and made it rwd? Or would it overheat?

Mazda-ized VW Eos!
@rgseidl: Run-flat tires make the ride too rough for my fat pampered ass. That's why roadside service is the way to go.
@jarque: And then being flattened by a Muni bus.
They're calling that a city car? There's no way I'd drive that in San Francisco. I can imagine myself taking a corner just a little too fast and rolling like a barrel all the way down Nob Hill.
Ford is using design "studiots?" Is that a contraction of "studio idiots?" Maybe that's the source of their design problems.
I just hope that this one doesn't have an off switch on the outside.
@BenjiS: I'm currently rocking the "Interlagos" plaid interior and I love it.
@BenjiS: Amen.
If I was a prospective buyer I'd be less worried about what the car looked like an more interested in what kind of person would do that to a Porsche and what kind of things were done in it. Maybe I could vacuum up enough coke out of the carpet to finance a payment or two.
@Ethan Allison: I agree. A Caminoized vehicle needs to retain its carlikeness. The roller looks like a lazy donkish type thing. No finesse.
@abgwin: Mercury needs to be axed also. If GM can sell Opels as Saturns and Holdens as Pontiacs Ford can sell Euro Fords as 'merican Fords. Then they can take the money they were wasting on Mercury and waste it on Lincoln.
@danio3834: If we know already why can't Ford figure it out?
@UDMan: Maybe the Ford brand would have some prestige of its own if they built and sold well-designed and well-built cars in North America as they do in Europe. The US Focus will wither and die like the old Taurus did because Ford won't invest the money needed to make the car competitive. Their latest half-assed…
Maybe if I could have gotten the Euro Focus ST a while back instead of my '07 GTI I would have. But, I suppose that's like saying "Maybe I would have voted for George W. Bush if he wasn't a complete idiot."
ZR1: I'd like to take you for a breath taking ride around the 'ring...
My parents had a Toyota based motor home with the 22R fourbanger. It would do 60 with a tailwind and still return double-digit mpg. They traded up when it got to be over 20 years old but it was still running great.
It's the Corvette Reventon!
@kleinlowe: My brother is a cereal hybrid. He runs on Coco Puffs and Pop Tarts.
