Still too heavy.

Ok how about an expert opinion. I was racing in the VLN as well today. From what I have seen of the crash and know of the condition there today I believe 100% that Jann was blameless. All cars get light on the front end at Flugplatz. It happens every lap you drive through there. Up until this incident there has not

That's exactly what will happen, and the Elio will still never come to market.

They're taking an enormous ROW for the road through there. When (or if) they finish, it should be pretty nice. But it's a long way off.

I know exactly what you are talking about. I drove one and thought the same thing. It was very strange that an independent rear suspension does that, but it does.

I've actually experienced the same thing in Nissan Maximas.

It made me feel like I was driving my 99 Mustang lol

Ug. This thing is hideous. It has to be one of the worst looking cars sold in the last 20 years...if not ever. Seriously, if you get this in the wrong color, people will sick up when they look at it.

My sister had a 91 Cavalier. One time while it was parked, it randomly 'started' and ran thorough somebody's fence about 10ft. ahead of where it had been parked. My sister called the police and they thought she was drunk, until they were writing the report and the car again tried to 'start' on its own.

I owned a '99 1.8T passat made in germany. It traumatized me so badly I bought a honda.

Nice collection! The Fiesta ST is such a great car. I'd love to get an NA Miata someday. Thankfully, my wife has her own car, an 06 Jeep Liberty we carpool in some days.

My 2000 GTI was built in Germany. It was still a POS. Assembly location has nothing to do with it.

Your VW sounds almost exactly like my Mother in Law's Jetta. Hers also cracked the intake. I'd never heard of a car doing that. Hers also clogged up with carbon to the point where the whole intake had to be removed and hot tanked. Hers also eats up coil packs AND the battery will occasionally go dead for no real

tried to fix my friend's beetle w/ chronic overheating issues - impossible to get at coolant sensor - and only found out there's two.. for some reason. nearly impossible to access bulbs in taillights *sigh* - long story short, she actually dumped the car and moved overseas. Ended up donating it to a local charity.

With you on the whole VW thing, my 2009 Jetta 2.0t. Also had DSG issues, ABS issues, brake issues, front end issues...the final straw was the rear main seal going. Loved that car, but hated how unreliable it was.

Haha. I just posted the same car, but a generation earlier and with the 5-cyl.

This! Also owned a 2011 Jetta SE with Convenience. DRL would not stay on or come on at random, and never both at the same time. Windshield randomly cracked for no reason one day in the driveway and break had a leak within 5K. Constant issues. Oh and the horn just randomly stopped, and brakes just never felt right,

That's no joke. I'm glad I'm not the only guy convinced that most of those stories are complete fiction.

So much this. The 'real' stories on Gawker are embarrassing.

Hey. Would be great to include a wee bit on how the McNeil Cycle differs from the typical diesel cycle.

Exactly. There's a reason people are flipping him off and calling him an asshole. It is amusing to think of people LOLing at the "bad drivers" and not seeing any problem with this at all.

That's missing the point entirely. Assigning blame doesn't make Halo a good driver!
