And Yoshi-P needs to stay right where he is, keeping FFXIV running strong.

It’s a trilogy.
If you thought the retcon stuff started at the ending, you weren’t paying attention.
The small cracks, at least, should be less common on the PS5. Better load-streaming means fewer hidden loading screens.
Comparing it to the deteriorating AC series, or the cookie-cutter COD games is... not a good example. Might as well mention FIFA or Madden while you’re at it.
Motomu Toriyama dug that grave, and Hajime Tabata couldn’t fill it in.
More of giving a great-but-old game a sequel trilogy. Which in other media... yeah, okay, still a risky move.
The ending got me totally onboard with the entire project. “Remake” being a goddamn subtitle and not a description is genius. I can’t wait to find out more about the timeline f*kery going on in part 2.
FF6, while religiously devoted by its fans, is not as widely popular as FF7, making it a riskier prospect for a project of that scale. Outside of its dedicated followers (the variety about to crucify me for the following comment), the most common opinion I’ve heard expressed of it is “eh, it was decent.”
Oh god please no
Remake, Rebirth, Reunion. 110% behind this suggestion.
Final Fantasy Vii.1.7 Rebirth Liminal
... I think you mean 5+ years for part 1?
Waaaay less complicated games.
I always felt the XIII sequels suffered for the rushed schedule. Like, they weren’t bad, but it felt like lost potential.
Good. And good riddance. Recruiting needs to stop entirely and let retirement and other attrition cut our military’s size by like... half. We’d still have twice the military of any other country in the world.
When “workplace culture” is uniform across every police union, and anyone who dares report on blatant illegal action is harshly penalized, I think you’re massively underselling the situation.
Translating in general is rarely at the top of Xseed’s priority list, judging from the friends I hear complaining about the Trails series...
Police can’t speak out without at best getting forced out of their jobs.
Have they added anything like an endgame yet? Or is it still all mystery-box with no resolution?
