Yeah, all “play as anyone you see” tells me is that there’s no depth to anyone and characters are completely interchangeable.
Bet you just about anything that there’s “both sides”-ism in the game, with the resistance going “too far” and somehow being just as bad as what they’re fighting.
Sure. So if this was, for example, in reference to current events; police brutality, rising modern fascism, etc., it would be perfectly on-topic. But it’s in promotion of a video game.
If it wasn’t advertising a video game, and say it was specifically addressing recent events with police brutality and rising fascism, it would be a justifiable usage. But you can’t extract things from the context they are used in.
