I do not personally know any TTRPG players who actually care about perfectly balanced dice and I’ve been DMing for almost 20 years. They exist sure, if you go on amazon and look at dice, you’ll find reviews of people who’ve actually evaluated sets for accuracy, but we’re talking a really marginal case here.

Its no different than any other sport.  You wanna play for the league, then you play buy their rules and pay any fines.  Its all in the contracts you sign to play.

I’m actually not quite sure what drives people to want to be boosted. The reason why pros boost others are either for money or to help out friends. The people being boosted on the other hand—I have no idea what motivates them. Chances are, you’re going to suck if someone boosts you several ranks higher than you could…
