Evidently even Kotaku has forgotten what a PC game is, as most of the games up there are ports, and some have not been announced for PC and will be ported later.

This would never have happened if ID had remained and independent studio. Period.

I sense a disturbing lack of the Souls of numerous Demons powering this article...

Interestingly, it would seem that EA shot themselves in the foot by laying off Pandemic before the games release.

@dethklokso: I heard rumors he had gone after them. I sincerely hope this isn't the case, if it is, Langdell deserves to have...something done to him.

@Orchestral: I can only presume that greed had blinded them to the point where they can no longer realize that it was the other hundred people's work bringing in the cash, not them sitting on their fat asses browsing ebay for golf clubs.

@Poul Wrist: Hasn't that summed up every Bethesda game since Morrowind?

@jayntampa: Personally, I thought it was a really great game. Sure, it had it's issues, but I had waaaay more fun in Two Worlds than in Oblivion.

@jack2pot: I've never met this mysterious ppl species. Since they own many 360's, can I presume it is a new acronym for Zombies?

@UERD: At least we know who the idiot is that's been responsible for it burning the past few years.

So he's basically the first person from EA to ever say "Hey, yeah, we totally just raped everything that made the series great because I'm a pretentious fuck."

@EighthR: The guy in that picture is Joseph D. Kucan, the most badass Game Developer in history. #ea

@Taggart6: I don't always drink beer, but when I do...: To be fair, it would have been shorter if Tiberium Twilight had come out in the 2000's as Westwood had planned, without EA's shitty CnC3 in between. #ea

@Friedhamster: A carbon copy generic arcade shooter that's 6th in a series is "Quality over Quantity"? #ea

To be fair, was he likely to say:

@OrwellJames: Yes, but if you are simply working for a publisher they cannot decide to dissolve your studio on a whim. These tactics should be in place prior to acquisitions, to avoid the dissolution that occurs after being purchased.

You know, maybe these studio's should institute the golden parachute and poison pill tactics that Wall Street companies did back in the 80's.
