It doesn’t matter how much the preorder reserve is. The money goes towards the purchase of the console, so they wouldn’t lose anything. They can also request a refund after 30 days.

SteamOS is a Linux based operating system. It was designed, more or less, to be similar to a console interface. Not all games are made for it, but it’s becoming more common with newer releases, especially indie titles.
I’m considering it. The way I see it, it’s like owning a Switch, but it’s attached to a Steam account that has over a decade’s worth of indie games and AAA titles already on it.
I’m thinking digital assets would also include things with more tangible value, like crypto currency or NFTs.
Very true, although it’s a different kind of network. Facebook is mostly about connecting people that know each other in real life together, whereas Steam is about discussing the products sold on the store.
Not really. From the sound of it, you’ll need a Steam account to access the store on the default SteamOS. If you choose to install a different OS, and buy only from Epic, that restriction is removed.
Any chance that it's because PC is the only platform where modding in commonly accepted? I could see that as a big point of contention for anyone that has their likeness in the game.
In the case of Hades though, God Mode doesn’t instantly make you overpowered or invincible. You still go through the dozens of deaths that every other player goes through until the game becomes just easy enough to beat, either through the player’s own ability to learn and adapt, or getting just enough of a power boost…
The big takeaway here is that the Invincibility toggle won’t be paid DLC, which is just the kind of thing some companies (like Ubisoft or Atlus) would do.
Eh, it’s more like if there’s a large LGBTQIA+ community online, and there’s a large fandom online, then it must mean that there’s a large number of LGBTQIA+ members within those fandoms. Whether that’s true or not remains to be seen. The same thing happens with other communities, such as MLP, Steven Universe, Bendy…
I think that’s a good concept. Give us a selection of iconic maps ranging from across the series along with story based targets, and a sandbox approach to killing them.
Closest I can think of would be episodic games or games with post launch updates, like Monster Hunter or Animal Crossing.
I use the back one specifically to power my Pro Controller dock. Kinda sucks that they removed it from the new model.
Doubtful at this point. The new model costs more, while the current models will stay the same price.
Considering there are people that spend substantially more every couple years on new smartphone models, I could easily see people dropping $350 for an updated Switch.
Funimation as well.
I don’t believe it did. The Youtube app did, I believe. Then there was the Nintendo Video app, which was made around the concept.
Technically speaking, the Donkey Kong Country franchise could be considered a Western franchise, since only Rare and Retro have handled it. Rare in particular is responsible for DK's modern depiction as opposed to how he looked in the original arcade game.
