You’re welcome and thanks for the praise. Unfortunately, this story is a cliff hanger for now. I wrote it on the spot in kinja after reading the article. If you like poetry riffs, another kinja response I put down a few years ago is a synopsis of the Byzantium trailer and homage to W. B. Yeats. Keep Yeats in mind and…
yeah, so sad. I wrote a pretty good summary of an alternate Indy 4 for some contest. I thought it was a solid idea, but I didn’t win and I have since forgotten it. This is in the same domain, though. :)
yeah, and every person that gets to their destination quicker is relieving traffic congestion for everyone.
I did a research project in 2008, so this info is a bit old, but I found something cool.
The cost is small. The user is charged for the services to a point and most of the ‘cost’ is the pay and benefit packages of the workers, who will be on the clock either way. They get paid the same whether they are parked in the lot or tending to the wounded on scene. The cost of supplied etc. gets recouped by…
Houses sell. People love houses. When houses are next to junkier houses, some people don’t like it. Others don’t care and the house will see for the same. If they sell for less, they are likely going for a quick sell and their lack of planning on their sale is what lowers your value. Anyone who takes a hit to their…
I think the point is that projectors took these things into account when they set the goals and Tesla still failed.
I’m just glad you upgraded the bimmer to get them.
That’s the beauty of the Vette, though. You don’t have to be rich. Granted, you can’t be impoverished. But, if you have a decent paying job and not a lot of kids (and didn’t put too much money in other things like a $400,000 house or something), a Vette is totally attainable.
That’s me. Xer with enough money to afford a Vette, but not a 911, NSX, Aston, Jag etc.
I can’t wait. I’ve been looking to see what my next car will be in 5-7 years from now and if a Mid-engine Corvette happens and their pricepoint stays the same, that cinches it.
This myth of property value lowering is hogwash. Property values are solely set by the tax-assessed value of the home and the sell price or recently sold nearby homes. No car sitting in a yard is going to lower the first or second of those. If the first, the end is nigh. If the second, that means the seller got duped…

A-rabs?
I think the problem here is caused by an economic system disconnect. Our economic system is Capitalist. Which is supposed to mean, if you have the money, then you have equal chance to the product. When Ford introduces a Timocratic approach (even to a small scale) it causes some strife to those with the money.
I don’t know, man. It sounds like this guy got ejected for being creative. Minutes of “you suck” were shrugged off, but a single clever “property on 69th, go suck” got him tossed.
NO, this is the real Batman. Protecting Music City from a 90's life of bland.
...and brings joy to all who see him.
