highly doubt the servers are gonna be running in two years, but i do think you have a point.

You say that now, but wait until the game throws some obstacles in your way to make traversal more “interesting.” Doesn’t that sound fun?
“There have been many comparisons on the internet,” said Okatani, “But also, we saw on social media that the people who actually played it saw that it’s a completely different game.”
It does seem like it’d be a bit of a slog to get the G/O offices to print it out, then fly 10 hours to New York to pick it up, 10 hours home again.
The grifters have moved on to “AI” “art” and “writing.”
I agree wholeheartedly about the map features in Metroid Dread, but I still found the bosses in the game to just be stand in place, shoot, and dodge. I did that with every boss in the game without much difficulty. I was honestly very disappointed with the game as a whole and was surprised it was so otherwise lauded.…
Yeah, I loved Metroid Dread, but your criticisms of it are not wrong. When a franchise is gone for a long time like Metroid was, there kind of has to be that initial revival game that is mostly a victory lap of the previous entries, but ideally things get more creative and unique after that. Here’s hoping that’s the…
I feel like I go insane when I keep saying Metroid Dread is a disappointment when Metroidvanias have moved so far ahead with Ori, HK and Bloodstained.
Why would I ask some half-baked AI to do it for me, only to have to waste time double-checking the AI’s work afterwards?
.....So NFTs. They’re just NFTs you can’t even attempt to sell I’m fucking dying.
This is not the annual “star citizen is expensive” article. It’s the quarterly “star citizen is a scam and the creators belong in jail” article. Get your facts straight. Also, I have a bridge for you, send me a PM.
A crafting system and a skill tree do not qualify as “content”, no matter how complicated they are.
Thing is, the weirdos who shrug off or even cheer this corporate agenda on probably have nothing to lose from this dystopia. They’re talentless, ambitionless, and probably have never worked to make a living in their lives, and are intensely envious of creative people with skill and expertise, and have no understanding…
Do you really think in 2063, people will fondly be looking back on Barbie and Oppenheimer the way we look back on the best films of 40 years ago?
Your love of secret of mana despite the HORSESHIT GRIND OF SPELLS mid to late game is telling of what your nostalgia forgives. We both clearly love the series, but without speedhacks for bullshit so many games in the series would be entirely unplayable. The art, gamefeel, and music made up for such tragic garbage :(((…
as far as im concerned the series did end on the snes
I couldn’t help but get excited when I saw the Visions of Mana trailer. Like you the Secret of Mana made a notable impact on me as a kid. I’ll be very disappointed if Visions is not at least decent, but I’d love for it to be great to good.
Yeah, I’m pretty sure if I had liquid in my mouth I would have done a spit take on “and a fantastic Game Boy Advance remake of the first game (Sword of Mana).”
I appreciate your perspective of Sword of Mana. In my experience, at least when I was a patient 12~13 year old, I loved Sword of Mana. Favorite GBA game. Problems you named never phased me, loved the art style, the spirits, the combat. For me I never noticed those issues because I just found it fun to explore the map…
