Try the TimeSpeed mod. Lets you freeze and advance time, slow it and speed it up. Takes all the pressure off a ticking clock so you can go about making the most of your days.

Hey there, HUGE fan of Hyper Light Drifter here.

People should probably just watch American Dad! instead.

I definitely get where you’re coming from. I think there is room to modernize the combat mechanics and enemy behaviour, but I do worry that they are going to make combat “fun” and therefore incentivize and reward players for focusing on it.

Yeah, this game sucked for me. The presentation, music, and animation were great, but the bad writing/script stood out far too much to appreciate the good aspects in the long run. The blatant Chrono Trigger tropes and archetypes compounded the lackluster writing, imo. It was pure “We use this technique out of appeal,

You know what would be fun? Another Mario game in the mold of long-lost Mario 2. Yes, it was just a skin of another game, but it’s far better known as Mario 2 and would be fun to toss some turnips at Snifits and Ninjis again in the modern era. #JusticeForWart

I have also been having this issue where I’ve been enjoying Nintendo games less recently, because I can no longer 100% them. And I don’t think it’s because I’m worse (although I am) but they all seem to have at least one ridiculously hard boss or level or task that takes forever and is incredibly frustrating.

Super Mario Bros. 3 will always be my favorite. The amount of secrets hidden in each masterfully crafted level is a standard which few games ever held up to. It’s why to this day I often check every corner of the map of whatever game I’m playing and am often left disappointed.

Stop calling these people “fans”.

The only thing that most vocal minority of people are “fans” of is being terrible online, and the majority of that minority aren’t even playing the shit they’re dogpiling on.

That really put a damper on wanting to finish another playthrough before Rebirth came out.

I’m still kinda miffed that nothing carries over other than getting a bonus materia summon just for having a save file.

and I can’t say why but I keep bouncing off of Dawn

Bullshit. The anti-Cod is clearly a single plum, floating in perfume, served in a man’s hat.

Same, I think it would be great to hire a bunch of artists and designers, have them create base materials for the AI to learn, and then proceedurally generate new content on the fly.

Ah yes, the incorrect use of “Luddite” as a pejorative.

I play almost exclusively on easy mode these days. I’m in my mid-30s with a full time job. I don’t have the time or patience (or, lets be honest, skill) at this point in my life to be repeating the same section of a game over and over again. It’s just not something I find enjoyable nowadays and if a game doesn’t allow

Also, even if it WAS just “easy mode,” so what? When games have an outright, clearly-stated easy mode, so what? I would love for someone to give me a legitimate argument for how someone else playing a game on easy -- online games/multiplayer games notwithstanding, of course -- affects THEIR experience with/enjoyment

Borderlands 3 is a good Borderlands game in terms of gameplay and mechanics. The problem is, it’s a bad Borderlands game in terms of the writing and story. Very much worth playing, but everything non-gameplay and visual is terrible. There was like, 2 funny jokes total in it.

I’m old enough to remember when people were jeering at much of the Square SNES catalog for being called RPGs. It’s never been a terribly useful label for games other than to denote there’s probably a leveling and gearing system.

The remake will also swap the original’s fixed camera angles for an over-the-shoulder third-person perspective, similar to Resident Evil 4.”
