I literally said “Square worded it poorly.” That’s perhaps quite the understatement, but you coming back saying that I think that’s a good defense really just means you are knee-jerk commenting on a post you didn’t bother reading.

Weird take considering FF16, the topic here, is made by a Japanese developer and the characters *for some reason* look decidedly Caucasian, but by all means let’s just assume race.

I’m sure this is going to sound to you like I’m defending some kind of white supremacist angle because yeah, I read the linked article but for the love of god can we get off this nonsense horse already and stop acting like a game set in a FANTASY world is supposed to have racial representation? Yeah maybe Square

A lot of this smacks of different people making different choices and being forced to combine them, or at the least just poorly thought out decisions.

First off, non-seasonal play should not give anyone a head’s up in seasonal play. That’s the whole point; it’s supposed to be a fresh, equal start for everyone. And,

We didn’t make a bad game, we just had one that dIdN’t LivE uP tO ouR eXpeCTAtiOns.”

The problem is - if they go the same route as D3 - any rewards you get in seasonal don’t apply to future seasons, they only apply to non-season, once the season ends. Paragon experience and stash tabs, etc were rewards for your non-seasonal character, which, unless D3 was your life, playing seasonal meant you didn’t

Or...or...Nintendo wants you to do this anyway, but not this way.
I have all the Amiibo armor and duplicates sell for 600 rupees. I easily make upwards of 3600 rupees a day from it, not to mention I always have a full inventory of mid-tier one handed weapons and top-tier fused greatswords, high-end shields, and

That’s making a lot of assumptions, though.
I have a full time job, a house to take care of, other hobbies, and other games to play. Seasons aren’t something I have time to clear every three months and I know I’m not the only one.
In any case, I played D2 and D3 both off and on for years and never touched ladder and

People keep saying this but it’s simply not true, at least not if you wanted to be able to pay DLC or expansion prices. The basic game engine is the same, a lot of the assets and map elements are the same, but the game had to be made to accommodate a vastly expanded physics system, dozens if not hundreds of new

I’m so sick of the time period of the Skywalker saga, why is Disney so afraid to set anything outside of it?

Yeah how about Blizzard just not add time gated bullshit into a series that was always pick up and play

Which begs the question again; with such a robust (drawn-out) endgame, why is the enticing (dumbass) battle pass only accessible to seasonal players?

As a Kpop fan, I can tell you more or less what this is like in practice:
Nothing changes, companies keep doing the same shit, and every artist (stand in I guess for devs here) gets treated like shit by a vocal minority that’s indeterminable between someone with a hate boner for the company and an actual socially

This is giving me panic flashbacks to Dodoh High Dive from Skyward Sword

Realistically they have to to even have anyone who isn’t a longtime fan of the original be even remotely interested in a game with 2 in the title.
Honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’ve moved to full on reboot now.

Hell, at this point I’d be happy with something with a bit better battle system than FF7R and a decent story. I’m also over world-wide epics, I think they’re incredulous and themselves are immersion breaking (the worst is when you can travel over the entire overworld, which is super detailed nowadays, and there’s

I guess I’m glad they didn’t just make it a soulslike but as someone who’s been playing since the first game on the NES yeah...none of the gameplay elements sound like something I would describe as a Final Fantasy game.

Don’t forget half of VI literally takes place after the apocalypse.

Depending on where you live and the local job market, sometimes there is very little to choose from besides corporate or franchised retail work, and there certainly aren’t enough “just go get a better job” jobs for everyone.

Corporations will ALWAYS find a way to underpay and exploit their workers.

I really don’t care

Translation: “We’re making enough off battle passes that we don’t need a game people are only going to purchase once.”
