Bummer to hear this as I love both formats (and with Nintendo, there’s no such thing as forever) but on the plus side it means a lot of good indie developers will be eager to fill the void. It won’t be Zelda but I’m sure there will be some great Zelda-likes.

I suck at PVP FPS games but I like OW’s characters and have a casual knowledge of its lore. I was planning on buying this if it looked like a good, meaty campaign. I don’t know how many of “me” there are, but there you go.

As usual, blame the whales. They can spend the rest of us out of existence and shareholders love

Wait did I understand that correctly? Battle passes only work for seasonal characters? I hate both of those things but if I have to have a battle pass I at least want to be able to play non-season to rank it up. More and more is telling me this is not the Diablo I want to spend my time with.

It’s not so much that I find the gunplay useless; it’s more that it’s weak. At no point in the game did my upgrading guns make me feel like a badass; only the screw attack did that, and as fun as it is, it’s basically just cheat mode for every 2D Metroid. Getting to the point where your gun shreds most enemies is a

Haven’t played this game yet but I recognize that issue from the first. However, that means you’re not playing the game as it is intended. You have to stay constantly mobile and use crowd control force abilities to give yourself breathers. It’s very doable with practice.

For all the things Metroid Dread did right in my mind (super detailed and useful map, bosses that were more than just shoot and avoid, and...well actually that’s about it) I noped out at the last minute. I do not want to do goddamn QTEs to beat a Metroid game.
Somewhere between their boring as shit Metroid 2 remake

Big games cost fortunes to make and still release like this, and yet this is as close as possible to these companies literally telling us “eh, wait until it’s half price, it’ll be fixed by then.”

They are shooting themselves in the foot.

Your assertion is deeply flawed, in that you are stating that since these other industries aren’t mentioned, that the other commenters are not concerned with them at all. That is just you making assumptions. This article is about Diablo 4. They do not need to bring up other examples if they don’t want to.

They are also

Exactly why I refuse to play MMORPGs anymore, mobile games with daily check in bonuses, or any other sort of game that has timed events or check ins. It’s exhausting.

TBH welcome to every fandom ever.

Ugh, Callisto Protocol was such a massive disappointment. The parts that were like Dead Space were exactly like it, and the parts that weren’t were just horrible. Just a beautiful looking mishmash of already used good ideas and a bunch of new terrible ones.

I don’t see where in the article it says that co-op wouldn’t make a difference? Author made it very clear that they were talking about the single-player experience, and a single player experience shouldn’t have busted controls where the fix is “play multiplayer.”
Sounds like a pretty depressing game in general anyway.

Off topic but your opening quote “It’ll be a great place if they ever finish it,” really puts words into how I feel about Minecraft itself. I love the concept of it, but haven’t felt the urge to play it in years, precisely because it’s constantly being updated, to the detriment of every world I’ve created. And I know

I think so too but it’s still an incorrect statement.

*cough cough* Streets of Rage 2 *cough cough*

This is one of the things that irritates me to no end about Nintendo. Before an official timeline was established, I was fine with the idea that certain Zelda games were direct sequels to each other, but the series as a whole didn’t have an exact canon, just the repetition of the cycle of Zelda, Link, and Ganondorf.

That sounds intriguing. Being able to transfer abilities should really open it up.

Cool, a dickhead on the internet. How refreshing and new.

I really hope they’re committed to allowing multiple paths for gearing. If something requires me to plan my day around the game’s schedule, and it’s necessary for me to progress, then I’m out. I don’t have the fucking time for that.
All I want is the ability to target farm the legendaries I want. D3 was a pain in the
