I am perfectly happy with never seeing this film. TRON: Legacy, in spite of the AWESOME soundtrack and glowy special effects, was a colossal missed opportunity in storytelling.

Still waiting for some scientist to name new planets “Untitled-1” “Untitled-2" “Untitled-3"...
Oh hey they found Mitch McConnell’s high school portrait
Agree, and very much so. After a promising opening scene, the first half of the movie was a mess. Too much tell, not enough show (doubly ironic considering the audience got most of Jyn’s character beats from scenes in the trailer that didn’t appear in the final movie.) Too much ‘meet cute and bicker’ BS, too much…
5. Trees. If you spent that much time running from zombies in the woods, you sure as hell wouldn’t sleep on the ground. Climbing spikes also make great zombie killers when you come down in the morning.
Sorry, “hirelings” ... also men-at-arms, mercenaries, followers and, yes, henchmen
If you go back to the original, you were almost expected to play with henchmen — it was practically the only use for Charisma in the LBBs. That made it easy to have an entire party ready to go, even if it was just you and your friend playing 1-on-1 after school.
Yeah. That’s the amazing thing. As with the chest-bursting scene in Alien, only the writers and a few of the crew apparently knew what was in the script. Gary Burghoff was handed his lines a few seconds before they called action, and because no one yelled cut, the actor’s reactions to the news was real.
And before you ask, yes, I did one with all the Star Wars parodies as well.
I finally gathered up all the Star Trek parody songs out there and made my own CD. Here was the cover:
How is it this character was dropped from the show? I don’t mean Janice Rand, I mean — Bouregard!!
From the time my Dad gave us his copy of the “Making of Star Trek,” we always knew the order in which the episodes aired; in fact, it was almost like memorizing the order of the books of the Bible.
I am surprising okay with this.
Roddenberry was a pilot and flew on B-17s in WWII. ‘nuff said.
The design of the Enterprise. No bloody A-B-C or D. Give me that Matt Jefferies’ Golden Ratio any day.
I’ve got to reiterate Dr. Eyepatch’s point — some major historical facts are being overlooked here. Star Trek was bigger in the 1970s than it was in its initial run, and a huge cultural touchstone long before Star Wars. Thanks to syndication, by the time the first official Trek convention* was held in 1972, Star Trek…
Came here to see this; was only disappointed because I didn’t get to post it first.
Interesting proof of concept (especially for all those D&D nerds who insist their Paladin in full plate and shield could too move silently) ... but the video still looks like something out of Monty Python.
Guys... a February release? Late February? Why not go straight to video for all the confidence the studio has in this picture at this point?
