Legally speaking, you cannot enter into a contract that requires someone to have sex with you or vice versa.

Or better yet, smash both!

I feel you, but it’s hard to build a legal standard around that sentiment. I’m pro decriminalization, but the prospect presents more policy and legal questions than many in this thread are willing to admit.

What does that look like? Even in broad strokes?

No, that is not the legal definition of assault. However those workers rights were likely violated and their families would be entitled to damages in a wrongful death claim or other litigation (see: asbestos cases).

Sex work has broader social and economic consequences as well. We don’t let banks regulate themselves (at least not directly, lol)

Sex is different than labor.

fucking this.

A very libertarian perspective.

Are sex workers who are economically pressured to preform labor with clients they’d don’t want to, or preform acts they don’t want to “raped?” Are clients protected by Title II? If a sex worker agrees to an act, and later rescinds, is that breach of contract?

In practice, labor is a commodity, and to a certain extent, it is fungible.

I’d love to see OSHA try and come up with guidelines for sex work...

I believe from a legal standpoint, sex ought to be treated differently from labor in several respects. Rape isn’t simply theft or non-payment of wages.

Weaponized smallpox maybe?

Here’s hoping The Donald wins and launches a first-strike against every nuclear armed country on his first day in office, instigating global thermonuclear war and the destruction of the human race.

Meh, I’m only opposed to the death penalty because the appeals process is too expensive, and we usually fuck it up anyways.

It conjures images of the destruction of western civilization...

Maybe this is an unpopular opinion here, but I refuse to acknowledge “kink” as a sexual orientation.

Just kill every trucker you meet. Eventually, you’ll get it right : )
