Wolverines!

In the 80's, “communist” was synonymous with evil, bloodthirsty murderer. So I would argue that Red Dawn is the ultimate horror movie.

Now playing

Star for ability to shoot an RPG through the window of a helicopter.

how is that a horror movie?

If it can outrun the commies, it can definitely handle some zombies. Now, commie-zombies are another matter. Those guys don’t mess around.

This is a good answer, I went for outback XT.

Discreet, good on all terrains, enough power to outrun scavvers...

Hard to argue with this one. THE Movie of my 80's childhood.

Hell Yeah

This question was answered in 1984 via mankind’s crowning cinematic achievement, Red Dawn:

I’d comment something snarky but I don’t want to add fuel to the fire.

Thank you , had a great out loud laugh at work about that 48 hour warm up period.

My mom had a 1980 300D and we used to joke that 0-60 was measured with a calendar, not a stopwatch. We had to plug it in at night in the winter to keep the oil from freezing. My father used to joke ‘that’s why the Germans lost the war... their extension cords weren’t long enough.’

He’ll get run over in DC traffic in one of those. Needs moar powr!!

That’s because 1991 gas Benz <<<<<<<<<<<< 1985 diesel W123. They are absolute tanks. I’ve owned two. They’re unstoppable.

This is one of those rare cars where you could be wearing a nice formal suit, or alternatively, slumming it in shorts and a t-shirt and yet somehow you wouldnt look out of place in either situation.

Dave’s suggestion was almost perfect. However, he should have optioned to suggest a 300CD.
I mean - c’mon - PILLARLESS.

At least it’s not the 240D.  That thing would run forever because it took forever to get up to 60 mph.

I like DT’s 300D suggestion. My brother had that same car when we were in high school. It was loud as shit and he had to start it like 48 hours in advance to let it warm up, but once we got rolling I felt like a KING.

It they wanted to embrace the true IHOP experience it would only be open on Sunday’s after church.
