What are better options for hosting/streaming audio? I’ve got a sideline as a musician and I use soundcloud now for hosting rough mixes of songs I’m working on before I release them as a way to get them to people who are interested (bookers, fans, friends).

Make it a staple! It’s great. I also love that it’s much less labor intensive to cook than risotto with a lot of the same flavors and textures, so it’s a great substitute if you’re exhausted or doing a million things at once and don’t want to worry about fucking up your arborio.

Farro rules. It’s tasty, easy to cook, nutritionally great, and takes tons of flavor from whatever you cook with it. I just had a marinated pork tenderloin with wild mushroom sauce on a bed of farro, it was rad. I like to also use it in vegetarian soups to give them more body and protein.

Anytime anyone describes prose as “cold and detached” I’m wary. I hate overwrought pulp fiction, but often these novels that are written sparsely just don’t grab me. I need clever turns of phrase and characterization as well as concepts, and that’s where a lot of genre fiction (not just SF) fails for me.

In terms of consumption, sure. In terms of creating noise and drowning out dissenting voices, well, it really doesn’t take that many people. It just takes a few people who post REALLY often (and/or employ sock puppets). It’s a flaw of the internet.
