Just because you leave things at work doesn’t automatically qualify them as having non-sentimental value. You make it sound like the only way the cleats could be personally significant is if they are underneath your mattress next to a loaded gun.

I would guess that it’s standard procedure to leave whatever cleats you use on a regular basis - even if they have something significant written or stitched on them - at the club for cleaning and polishing. Just because you don’t take them home doesn’t mean they aren’t of value. I would imagine college football…
Over them mountains
Over the top, unless you have cats.
Is this annoying because some Americans say it, akin to “football” in lieu of “soccer”? Because I can kinda get that.
If you spread it around enough competitions maybe nobody will notice!
As a Liverpool fan I have to say that you are so full of shi........who am I kidding. That’s accurate.
But here’s the thing. I said goal kick. Not free kick. Check the rules, good sir.
Is “Martial Artist” a thing yet? Should it be? I don’t know, shut up, it was after-work happy hour.
I was really trying to come up with a perfect response to that.
Jesus Christ. Jeff, you know I like you. We all like you. But WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO THAT PIZZA
One of the confused commentators was British.....
Yeah I can understand that in live action. I was referring more to the commentator who, during the replay, was asking where Ruiz was when the goal kick was taken. The correct answer to this is: it doesn’t matter.
I’m actually not so sure he was. I haven’t been able to find a definitive replay, but I remember seeing it last night and thinking he was beyond the last defender. This one, around the :33 mark, is impossible to make a claim for either side because you can’t see exactly when the ball is kicked, but you CAN see that it…
I most certainly mean goal kick.
How fucking embarrassing was that goal that came directly from a goal kick? And am I the only one who was screaming at the television because the BeIn commentary had no idea that you cannot be offside on a goal kick?
more often than not they don’t deliver in the tourney
Counterpoint: Coach K has said publicly that he had to start following the trend of one-and-done recruiting that Cal essentially created out of fear of being left behind. So yeah, I could see him doing the same thing here.
