Correct, but that really wasn’t the point.
Agree completely! All this to say it really isn’t about defending soccer - as the OP suggested - it’s that the soccer scene is the vehicle for so many of these people in certain parts of the world to act out.
Oops!
I think it just comes down to how popular the game is on a global scale. More people in the world are more passionate about soccer than any other sport. Unfortunately this crazy shit isn’t that surprising.
I would love to see a cool fan reaction video from this one, like when Landon Donovan scored for the US in the World Cup right at the end.
Thank you sir. Enjoy your 3 day weekend.
Haha very true. That was very much the case in my 10-person pool. Everyone had them to the final four, at the very least, and a few had them in the championship. Luckily I was of the former.
Unless your office pool has a MTSU grad, I can’t imagine a scenario where every other person in an office pool didn’t also get royally fucked by that result.
If the reason you didn’t fill out a bracket is because an upset like this would have ruined your afternoon, then you’re March Madnessing wrong.
Shit defending, but every defender in the league thinks the Count is going to cut inside and try and fire one far post, because that is what he does. Not this time.
Would love to hear why you think that. No snark intended. Because Vardy was initially off.
See, this is where it becomes a grey area for me. Again, I’m not certain on the rule here. But I’m not sure what significance the “target” player for the cross could be. Because when there are multiple players in the same area, how can you judge which player was the intended recipient?
Yeah, it’s a weird one for me. He was certainly off when the initial ball was played, but appears to be on when the defender got his head to the cross. Still should have been flagged I think. Like how do you determine when your offside position should be reset? I honestly don’t know the answer, but I’m assuming it’s…
Of course it was a black balloon.
I’m not really sure what the correct answer is to any of those questions, but in an ideal world it should be: “who gives a shit.”
It always give me the blues.
Uh, hardly terrible.
Depending on the state, you might have a case if it was only in the first quarter.
I’m with ya. Everything else sounds great about viewing weekend sports on the West Coast. But there’s no way I’d be able to get my PL fix, and that’s not something I ever want to give up.
