It’s not fair to pick on Far and Away since it was so early in her career and because all of the put-on Irish accents in that film are horrible, as you can see here:
a side effects pamphlet that potentially killed his son
Nicole Kidman is horrible with accents.
And to her face! That was the hard part. “I’ll never forgive her”.
I was genuinely asking myself why Napoleon would be mad at his wife for not reading a side effects pamphlet that potentially killed his son, but then taking a random sort of hidden drugs that have no side effects pamphlet? With his remaining child? If she dies because of this drug who would he blame?
That’s exactly what I got out of it. I even wondered if they were going to go the direction of
It seems pretty unfair of Napoleon to blame Heather for Zach’s suicide, just because she was the one usually in charge of the kids’ medication. He could have read the pamphlet also.
Yep. I mentioned that last week. I never knew it was that serious a side effect until this show, so I stopped taking it immediately. Reading the labels more carefully from here on out.
About the doctor not warning them about the side effect - I was on that same medication for years and didn’t know until last week’s episode. Neither the doc not pharmacist brought it up. It looks like now the FDA is trying to get more prominent warnings. So, that element is plausible. But everything else is just bad.…
Oh wow- I thought Masha had started to hallucinate and that’s why she saw Carmel as that guy. But you just blew my mind a little bit.
Nicole Kidman’s weird puffy alien face being used to portray a cult leader, with THAT CAST had me very, very excited for this show. My wife wasn’t interested, so I hadn’t started it yet, and seeing the overall reaction to it has made me decide to totally pass on it. Thank you for the reviews.
We know who shot Masha, it was Carmel, dressed like a dude. Or did I misunderstand something?
You’ve just had a signature David E. Kelley viewing experience: Take a vaguely promising premise and write it into the ground by episode 4. Finish the series hating yourself and wondering who continues to allow Kelley to write shows and why he hasn’t found an editor or writing partner capable of steering him away from…
Janet was such a great character. Can’t wait to see D’Arcy’s future.
I am SO fucking sick of that. They do that in order to allow the word “consent” to enter the picture at all... I.e., “it’s not so bad”, “she wanted it”, “she knew what she was doing”. All the usual rape-culture go-to excuses that men use when they want to dodge statutory rape or child porn charges.
When you’re right, you’re right. Wait... Steve Bannon is married? Someone fucked Steve Bannon??? Really?!?
Also take note of the repeated use of the word ‘prostitute’ to refer to them - not ‘women,’ ‘girls,’ ‘ladies,’ etc. They want to dehumanize and defame them as much as possible, so that not even their memories or statements matter.
“No there were no children there, there were only teenage prostitutes, and you know you…
I fucking hate that shit so much. The implication of “underage girls” is that they were “almost” adults so may this is some kind of gray area rather than the fact that these were old men preying on children as young as 14; barely a step away from Dora the Explorer backpacks and candy flavored lip gloss. I refuse to…
I am noticing it too.. and there’s also a reluctance to use the word pedophile/pedophilia, which this is all about.. and there are some in the media who would like this story to disappear as soon as possible, and i’m betting they will make it happen.. that kingdom of pedophiles story is way beyond Epstein, he’s the…
