It reminds me of Irish singer Kirsty MacColl, who sang Fairytale of New York with the Pogues. She was scuba diving with her sons. They started to surface, a boat appeared. She shoved them down, and her head went to the boat propellor. But she saved them!

Based on what her little boy said, Naya Rivera used the last of her strength and the last moment of her life to save her son.  It’s incredibly moving and humbling to think of such a move of pure love and heroism.

I think you, my friend, have already won this contest.

That number cut me as well I’m very proud of my current 10 minute mile 😂

Running a mile in gym class was the single most terrifying, humiliating thing I have ever been through. It’s just the worst.

I’ll bet it was Il Duomo you climbed up.

I feel this story deep in my bones.

Lawyer here. Get a will and keep it in a safe place where it will be accessible to others when you are gone. A safe deposit box doesn’t usually work unless someone else has access — otherwise the executor/heirs will have to go through a whole process to get the safe deposit box open. Wherever you keep your will, by

People also mistakenly think that you have to use your will to itemize your possessions and who they will go to. You really can just say “I want each of my four children to inherit 25% of my estate.” Then your kids can appraise the estate and use those values to divide the assets. That can cause its own issues, but if

All of this. Also, TALK to your parents. My brother and I had a conversation with them (it wasn’t a discussion we wanted to have, but necessary) and we both have copies of their will/trust.  My brother and I are thick as thieves, but we talked about it privately then discussed with our parents (with no kids or spouses

This is so important. My father has dementia and we managed to get him a will juuust before he was unable to really make those decisions anymore. It’s a straightforward 4 way split between four kids, so there’s little likelihood of drama. That said, the relationship between my sisters and my brother and I has soured

Seriously. If you have any assets at all, HAVE A WILL. This shouldn’t be difficult.

My family is almost entirely drama free but I second you on everybody needs a will. Because it is either simple to settle or it isn’t, and putting it off does not make it any easier. My great grandparents died without a will, in the sixties. Their 6 children inherited their farm and other assets and then just never

Perfect tweet. I felt pride, happiness and sadness reading it. Oh what could have been. sigh.

Most deliveries in NYC are made via bike or motorized bike (for which no driver’s license is required).

Pizza guys don’t drive cars in NY. They’re usually on bicycles and occasionally scooters.

Good luck with your new pizza-free lifestyle, Fort Hamilton.

so when i was in law school, i went to the student health center for paps, and i had to have a bunch of stuff done because i had a few abnormal paps.

Ohhhh noooo. When you have a super pattable percussive butt... oh man... the joy of the pat pat patting that is soooo good. One of my dogs got them bey hips... so satisfying to pat. True story, last night my husband and I, both mid-sleep, woke up because we were both patting her butt and ended up patting each others
