The fact that you wrote all that in character is what I love about you wonderful weirdos <3

Me think me speak for many, many readers when me say writers who keep this site going in future not really issue, as this is last time me will click on site that me loved for so many years. G/O has destroyed beloved cultural institution — gutting this site akin to bulldozing Sesame Street, and me for one not would be

***A COMMUNIQUE FOR THE POSTERS KNOWN AS THE COMMENTARIAT***

“This tragedy isn’t binge-worthy yet!”

Look, it’s a series of tubes, okay.

This is sort of a fascinating demonstration of the way that the public views the purposes of a documentary vs the purposes of a news report.

I was thinking of this in the part of the recap about not much with Greg and Tom tonight. I thought their little scenes together were fascinating, in large part due to Matthew’s performance. Greg is using Tom, when Tom is in a very low moment, and you can’t really feel sorry for Tom, because Tom was abusive toward him

What does matter is how quickly Mencken and Roman vibe

There are times when an episode of SUCCESSION really allows one of the supporting actors to shine.  Mathew Macfadyen  was absolutely terrific tonight.  Scene after scene his malaise rippling across his face, his eyes watering almost as if to break in tears.    Just remarkable delivery,  the diner scene most

Hell, Dever practically steals the entire show whenever she shows up.  And on a show with Walton Goggins, that’s saying something.

Man, I wish the Westworld conversation could have mentioned his Person of Interest guest spot, which was a really great episode.

I appreciate his tribute to Kaitlyn Dever, who to me stole the finale of Justified & all of their scenes despite having hardly any dialogue, while he had too much

He’s always great in everything I’ve seen him in, he really does just bring a different sort of energy to a show.

Joelle, I love the hell out of your recaps. This is the kind of in depth writing that used to be in the Golden Age of AV Club. I love this show! I can’t get enough of it and I’m going to miss it so much when it’s over. It is so brilliantly written, acted, and scored. If anyone here has the chance, I can’t recommend

This episode broke me. I maintain that they’ve made a bunch of missteps with Montrose’s plot in the past, but this episode made it all come together in such harmonious horror. The smile on that white boy’s face as he said “N*gger F*ggot” is one that I’ve seen a thousand times before. We like to think we are in a new

I was thinking that as well, but the more I thought about it I realized that the cops who were in charge were the ones who knew about the magic. Revealing the existence of ANY magic, even magic used against them, to the general public probably would jeopardize their power.

It’s a great, great show. In my top 10.

...which was super duper awesome.

The name Stormfront only rings alarm bells if you’re internet savvy or politically aware enough to know about the website and it’s inbred followers.

They are doing a great job of showing how white supremacists co-opt the language of empowerment and change. Stormfront comes off as superficially as a disrupter, here to take down the sexists and stodgy old suits, but she’s the same old white supremacy dressed up in a hip millennial skin.
