I don’t use any of them. I do not trust them. I do not like their business model. I do not like their anti-union activities and proclivities. I do not like their contempt for the rule of law.

He flirted with me once! I could have had him in 2001. The thought still unashamedly boosts my ego when I think of it.

I don’t use either service if I can possibly help it, but I do second this- I much prefer lyft as well.

It defiantly sounds like a “a period piece”. I’ll see myself out now.

I don’t understand why this is such a shock. Hallmark wouldn’t be making so many movies every year if they didn’t make money and have viewers. That said I like that Netflix’s movies don’t entirely revolve around pretty, upper middle class, straight white people.

The same way you get permission from a drunk person:

The Guernsey Literary And Potato Peel Pie Society isn’t a Netflix original, it’s an acquisition of a UK film.

These days it’s the same drivers using both apps, so I’m not sure how that’s true or relevant to this story.

Speaking for myself, I’m just so burned out on gritty movies and bloated actioners and the never ending spate of self-serious films that trade on themes of despair and world destruction and how America and the globe is in decline. I’m sick of violence and crime and films whose only innovations are the ways they dream

I’m tryin’ to tell you cause it tripped me out just how hittin’ it was.

Or, statistically they have the same level of issues, but you don’t notice because they don’t get the same media coverage as uber (for various reasons).

popeyes never tastes as good outside nola as it does within city limits. it’s one of those little known native nola secrets. now exposed.  LOL

The hospital where I gave birth gave me all that stuff to take home. Tons of supplies: the squirty bottle, hospital-brand Tucks pads, numbing spray (lol), mesh underwear, pads, a sitz bath (which I still use sometimes) and my god what else? A sponge to bathe the baby, little bowls that I still use for pouring water

ok but watching everyone freak out was actually pretty good.

Great article (I am sharing this as we speak),and one particularly important point:

I’ve been dying to play this!

I came to hype this game too! I had the privilege of getting to know Jabari Weathers a little bit through their work on 7th Sea, and then followed the trail to Bluebeard’s Bride and its tarot cards. Haven’t had an opportunity to play it yet but it looks EXCELLENT.

When Lorne Michaels shuffles off this mortal coil, heaps of praise for his creation of SNL will be thrown at him.

Fuuny enough I had THE best, bombest, freshest, most fried right, juiciest, crispiest Popeye’s chicken I ever had in life, in New Orleans. Like they had just killed that joint outside in the back, plucked it,cut it up, floured, seasoned and fried it within that hour. It was superb!

What a good article. I didn’t know a lot of that history.
