That’s ok. It’s not the hill I’m going to die on either. And I like Madonna, by the way (or at least her old songs) and I totally recognize she’s a cultural icon and one hell of a pop star. But musically?

Well, one’s personal taste isn’t the criteria. I personally don’t like much country music, but that doesn’t mean I don’t recognize Willie Nelson’s place in its history. Not liking Janet or Madonna is your own (very very bad) taste, but thinking they don’t belong in the HoF is silly.

Instead of following trends they found a look that some people would always want and waited for everyone else to circle back.

If you had asked me to guess which states were angry at Gretchen Carlson, Georgia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania would not have been my guess.

She’s not overrated if you’re a black girl who grew up in the 80s and 90s. She’s not overrated if you are a fan of Britney Spears, Jennifer Lopez, Beyoncé, or Ciara (just to name a few), who were all heavily influenced by her work. She’s not overrated if you have any respect for the triple threat: acting, dancing, and…

This. It *hurts* me to defend her, but damn it, this is good. She’s late to the party, but she’s here, and we need a big turnout for the midterms and she’s helping with that.

I think their actual customer base is more in the 50-70-year-old range. I’m in the 30-40 casual environment demographic you mention, and I won’t wear Eileen Fisher because it’s what my mother wears. I probably would buy it otherwise.  

I’ve been seeing more of their ads as well as a few promotional articles recently everywhere I look

They def have done a publicity push recently. I think someone put together that the designs and fabrics they have always used are pretty much exactly how women in their 30s-40s who want to feel more professional but work in casual environments like to dress.

I met Darcy and Abbi at the 2017 Women’s March in DC and they are both absolutely delightful people!
