Yeah, season 2 was the Black Mariah show as far as I was concerned.  Alfre Woodard just ate the role up, and it was magnificent.

Wait, what? Shades is awesome! 

Mariah was my absolute favorite character in Luke Cage and that scene was pivotal for her so I forgive them for that. I agree that Cottonmouth was an awesome villain though. 

Man, I did NOT like this season’s last episode. “Can’t be bought,” Luke? Oh yeah you can and now everybody knows your price.

I thought the worst part of Luke Cage season 2 was how he fanboy’d Jets coach Todd Bowles. I’m thinking that nobody in NYC likes Todd like that. Come on, Luke.

So. I loved it - it’s basically along the lines of Serial Mom for me. But it’s not the movie I thought I was going to see, because it’s not at all the movie in the trailers, and I wonder if a lot of people will feel they’ve been duped once they get there.

Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. The rest of the audience was into it too. It’s funny, dark, and a mystery. Highly recommend.
