Yes. When Nixon resigned, he became subject to criminal prosecution. In order to avoid that, Ford gave him a blanket pardon for any crimes he may have committed, so he just slithered away and wrote memoirs.

It would seem reasonable to think so. But, things being reasonable also feel sort of out of reach. so....maybe?

I love Sandra Oh. I loved her as the principle in Princess Diaries. I loved her in Grey’s Anatomy. In Sideways. And she was spectacular in Killing Eve. I hope (and genuinely believe) she will win the Emmy.

Not much Madonna love, but I’m really really bad about (good at?) picking up accents. For me, it’s an empathy thing, I think, where I unintentionally mirror others as I’m listening.

you young’uns probably don’t remember when Madonna first showed up on the music scene. She was a pretentious insufferable bore then and nothing has changed.

It has been so long...

I have a love/hate relationship with You Must Remember This (love the concept and the detailed research she goes into but sometimes she has really weird takes and can be way too sympathetic to whomever her subject is to the point of weirdly villainizing others) but Jean/Jane was really fantastic. And it seemed to

I am so so proud of my beponytailed little donut licker.  I have been bopping to Sweetener on repeat since Friday.  It’s a total jam.  The handful of trap tracks delight me, Sweetener itself has a great melodic line into the chorus, God is a woman has been my shit for a few weeks now, Pharrell added some great stuff

Frances Conroys character screaming out “Balenciaga!!” as she was burned at the stake remains one of my favorite moments from this bonkers series.

The “problem” with Biles is that she’s too good. The difficulties of her routines are so much higher than anyone else, that she doesn’t need to be close to flawless to win. I hope someone can step up to challenge her, to make her up her game a bit more.

That and Michael Phelps. OK, more her, but it gives me an excuse to post one of my favorite olympic pictures in recent history:

I wonder if Frank was there for Kim as Carly? He seems dead set on injecting her into the most things possible for which I am totally on board!

I’m delighted to see that this pulled in nearly double what Wahlburg’s Mile 22 made over the same period.

OT, but who else saw Crazy Rich Asians this weekend? It surpassed expectations at the box office, and I was thrilled to contribute! Such a delightful movie!

She is in a class of her own. She was born with a body that would be suited for pursuing gymnastics, yes, but her awesome determination and relentless drive to perfection are all her own doing.

If there was ever a “most wonderful smile in the history of the universe” award, Janet would win it hands down.

I really enjoyed his work with the petroleum industry back in 2005.

I’m certainly not qualified to discuss the merits of the music in the video. But I came here to say Janet looks freaking great and her stylist for this video KILLED IT. I love all her outfits!

Thanks. It is nice to see Asian males being portrayed positively in youth media. They often pop up out of nowhere. Insatiable, Edge of Seventeen, Crazy Ex Girlfriend (not really for the youths).

Is it really “awesomely diverse”?  She’s Asian, and “all the boys she loved before,” are non-Asian.  4 are white, one is black.  Sure, some of those white boys might have something else going on.  As an Asian American man, it is really glaring and discouraging to see this play out in real life and in fiction.
