ADV Films was based in my city, and they helped blow up the anime scene in the ’90s. I’m glad I grew up in that era, because we would trade anime and Newtype magazines in middle school and high school.
Anime is just part of our world at this point. Maybe it’s time to stop acting surprised that people like it.
Similarly, I was browsing Hulu last night and was genuinely shocked at how much their anime section has improved, and that they offer a bunch of simulcasts. They’ve got enough good shit on there that I was tempted to cancel my Crunchyroll (I only watch a handful of series anyway).

Consider permanent ice cubes, food grade plastic trapping a freezing substance. You freeze them, use them, wash them, reuse them. Perfect to chill a beverage you don’t want water diluting.
You know what I love her in that I just thought of? Charlie’s Angels. All three of the women in that film are a riot but she is SO FUNNY.
