Oh no, you almost got sucked dry by the energy vampire from What We Do in the Shadows, but good job for realizing early.

At least commas have a nice gentle curve. Could have ended up hitting a backslash or something instead, and that would probably hurt.

Aloy is, in my opinion, the best realized female protagonist in AAA gaming history. Not just because of her great character development, not just because she could be an attractive design without feeling objectified, not just because  of the way she navigated her world, but in the way she worked in combat.

it was such a whiplash going from a a rescue mission to suddenly fighting against the embodiment of fate to save the world. Maybe it’s just me, but it felt a little too soon for the stakes to be so high.

Yeah, I’ve had this same thought having seen it a few days ago. I’ve played the original several times, so I know the beats really well. It started out with me going, “Oh this is great! It’s so friendly to people unfamiliar with the original that they can play this no problem!” and then time wraiths from The Flash

This game is *shockingly* newbie unfriendly. Exactly like you said: Newbies would know nothing about Sephiroth by the end of the game other than “Dressed in black, big sword, killed Cloud’s mom,” have no clue who Zack is or even his relation to anyone, they see Cait Sith for like 5 seconds but for all they know that’s

I’ve had this feeling on a pretty large scale. I haven’t played games for about 12 years, until I got a PS4 early last year. It was strange being a Rip Van Winkle to years of gaming development. However, it also allowed me to be in complete awe of Red Dead Redemption 2 given my last major gaming memories are from the

I came to comment to make sure everyone knew about Nugget Man, but I see it’s been handled already.  Excellent.

This is beautiful. Thank you for sharing.

There are a couple of very challenging tonberry fights in the second to last hard mode battle simulations.

I still remember how a tonberry showed up at one of the Gran Pulse boss fights in Final Fantasy XIII and killed the original boss with one hit. Then you proceed to fight it, realizing that it’s a race against time as his attack power increases over time.

You may not like it, but this is what peak performance looks like.

I mean that just isn’t true. While it is true that having mics on can be beneficial when playing a team shooter, that mostly applies to groups who play together regularly and already mesh well.

I used to worry about spoilers, but now I actively look them up. I find it doesn’t ruin my enjoyment of the media one iota.

We’ve reached a point where people complaining about spoilers is far more obnoxious than actual spoilers.

I really hate the idea that knowing what happens at the end of a story “ruins” the story.

I knew what happened at the end of THE LAST OF US 1 before I even owned a playstation, and I still dug it. If the story works, the story works.

The elevators were pretty good too. How Cloud almost kills a poor secretary and there is a dude who is on the phone with his mom and gets on the elevators totally oblivious to the fact that Cloud, Barret, and Tifa were about to kill him.

We paid to experience the story that we love.

dull spinoffs like the games that extended the FF7 lore, like Crisis Core?

Kazushige Nojima is the scenario writer here and one of the script writers as well. You might know him from one of his other works where he was scenario designer and writer: Final Fantasy VII.

You might also know Tetsuya Nomura from another work he was a writer(and character designer) on called Final Fantasy VII.
