The motor could possibly replace the starter motor. You’d have mounting points and an interface to the driveline. Since it isn’t a super powerful motor it could still be fairly small. Certainly not as ideal as being behind the clutch or transmission, but it would still get the job done.

That’s always been my question. The only thing I can come up with is that the Miata is associated with British roadsters, which never had power. The BRZ is associated with JDM Bro, so it is expected to keep up with all the awesome 90’s Japanese sports cars.

Wouldn’t this explain why Volvo itself was shutting down their performance division? They are buying Polestar to replace their in-house group.

Based on my experience with blower motors, it is a $14 part and about 8 hours of book time to replace it.

It said the resistor was shorting to a connector, so it could be a combination of that part with the H3 wiring harness.
